i was really bummed i didn't find out about this until it was almost over, because i've always wanted to do an abba song. i still plan on doing one probably later this year sometime. if the deadline keeps moving, maybe i won't miss out after all!

At the minute I have 9 songs. I'm going out to dinner tonight, and by the time I get back I expect an inbox full of wonderful ABBA entries.

In a just world, there would never be a deadline for ABBA covers

it appears caravan ray got first dibs on the song i'd wanted to do, anyhow.
i won't let this stop me from making a vastly inferior version at some future date.

So Cashpoint is finally in with a troublesome swing at 'Winnter Takes It All' (troublesome for me and most likely troublesome for you)

The Little Smokes' version of 'Knowing Me Knowing You' is all recorded but I need to finish the mixing tonight so it should be up and about tomorrow.

So I feature / will feature on three songs on this fight, none of which will be my preferred choice, 'Waterloo'. Roymond, you better have got your version in, is all I am saying :)

Ready and waiting, $. I do hope you're not disappointed with my "take". Although you seem to have been busy, there's always room for more versions of Waterloo :P

Special thanks goes to Leaf for letting us 'lift' some of his fine drumming into our little Abba ditty. :)

For anyone who can't wait for ABBA covers, I recommend the fine selection (among others) at April Winchell's site. Search the page for ABBA. The Hindi ones (Salma & Sabina) are awesome!

Kompressor is down there with his stirring rendition of the Girl From Ipanema, btw

I don't think Erin and I are going to get ours done, for a long time if ever. We came down with colds at the end of last week and started moving to a new apartment yesterday and her parents are going to be in town this weekend, etc. etc. etc.

So at what point can we start claiming songs from other PEOPLE THAT SUCK? I'd suck a lot less if I could a certain other song.

Well The Little Smokes have claimed Sven's KMKY, though since J$ has not done the final mix I guess we currently suck :-(

We don't suck so much - we did in less than a week what this lot couldn't manage in over two months, so ....

Eesh. My singing is particularly bad on this one. I had (have) a cold, and wanted to get it in on time, but I think I will redo the vocals at some point.
