invitation to cover my songs...

Post by jeff robertson »

Unrelated to the current coverfight, if anybody does a cover of ANY of my songs (Songfight related songs or not), I'll get it hosted.

I don't really see this as a "fight", more like an ongoing invitation.

I would, but my distortion pedal doesn’t go up to 11. Or is it 12?

Jeff, I think you need to give us more direction than that. I mean, I'm pretty sure almost everyone on SF has an open invitation for people to cover their songs. In fact, that's kinda what hxaro is. It just usually takes a bit of a push to get us going, in any direction. We're a group of people who are attracted to the idea of having a strict assignment that's nonetheless open-ended given to us each week(ish).

All I'm saying is, you should post your list.

You asked for it... I present the 1997 self-released cassette-only "album", Flvxxvm Florvm is the Devil.

The recording of these songs was rushed and substandard... yes, even by my usual oh-so-low standards. Now we can fix that.

MP3s:
http://www.cba.ua.edu/~matt2/flvxx/Flvx ... e%20Devil/

Lyrics: http://www.cba.ua.edu/~matt2/flvxx/Flvx ... yrics.html

Chords, tablature, etc: http://www.cba.ua.edu/~matt2/flvxx/tab/ ... CHORDS.txt

Deadline...? First just tell me what song (if any) you might want to do.

And for anyone who doesn't like any of those, songs, here's a keyboard demo that my 4-year-old daughter has already selected to be played at her wedding. Suggested styles: surf rock, klezmer.

No, I didn't write it. Some anonymous guy who writes demo music for cheap keyboards wrote it.

I am a sexual being and I would like to do an eponymous song. Not sure when I will have time to get around to it though
