Theme and Variations Sidefight Thing

Post by Jim of Seattle »

I have this idea for a SF Theme and Variations. Here's the idea:

I write and record the theme. I post it somewhere, and then everyone else records a variation on my theme. Probably everyone's would be instrumental, but maybe not. Then at the deadline, I take all the submissions and decide on an order and string them all together for one big finished SF Theme and Variations. Would this be a fun thing to do? Who would want to do something like that? If there's enough interest I might do it.

C'mon, Jim. Obviously the baby monkey needs corrective lenses in order to see the Village People biker action figure. It can't get any clearer than that.

Oh, and I'm in.

I'll play. I'm not real familiar with traditional 'theme and variations' stuff, but I think I get it.

I don't get it either. But I'll see his Village People action figure and raise him a Razor Ramon HG album cover:

I think I'd be in, depending on the timing.

BTW - whatever happened to SFO 2? Wasn't that in the works at some point, too. Not a critisicm, a real question.

It's a great idea. Very Liszt/Chopin/etc. It would be a fun and quick exercise and could make a really interesting collaborative piece.

I'm in for a Chopin action figure. Your other similar projects were very effective, Jim.
