All of these songs are now an album on my ipod, everyone did such a great job! Ross, that is some major label shiz! I can't stop playing it. Plus, I don't think I've ever heard you cuss. Leave it to Phil to get a refined man to drop the F bomb. But it's such a touching song.
I labeled the Album, "The Incredible Writings Of Phil Redmon performed by the Song Fight Nation"
...yeah, maybe lame to YOU, *point at everyone that rolled their eyes* but it's my ipod.

Glad you liked it, Phil!
The speed effect was way harder to pull off than I thought it would be. The "barbershop" voices were trying to mimic those harmonies you hear in the background of otherwise greasy biker songs from the 50's (one called "Black Denim Trousers" is a favorite and informed this cover a lot. Check it out. Your song reminded me of it the first time I heard it. I've loved it since I was about 6. Also, "Hot Rod Lincoln" by Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen was an inspiration and is a must listen to anyone who wrote Lucky Man, meaning YOU!).
Hope you'll forgive the little lyric changes. I love the words to this song so much that I wanted them to be heard, but at that tempo I just couldn't spit all of them out clearly!
Question: did you have an actual band of guys in the background for that song, or was it all just you standing way far back from the mic?

Man, these songs are just so fantastic.
Thanks again, everyone, it put such a positive spin on my whole shits, yo.
I, uh, I hope I didn't step on anyones toes, or whatnot, but since Brian F is away on business, and I was stuck hosting the Spy Vs. Pie Popcast by myself, I played Brian, King Arthur, Steve Durand and Puce's songs on the show today.
If you guys are beefed by this in any way, say the word, and I'll... something. snip it out, or whatevs.
HOOZAY!

Yeah, thank you Phil! I wasn't quite sure what you'd think of my version of your song; I loved the original but I knew I couldn't do it like you did! Actually, I couldn't even figure out what you were singing on a couple of the lines, so then, as long as I was making stuff up, I made up a third verse...
Wow, actual internet airplay And a mention in the "guys who can play guitar" thread. Made my day!
Thanks!
Charles
