MicahSommer wrote:I finished an album in April that I keep forgetting to tell people about.

It includes (variously reworked versions of) five Songfight entries, one Circle of Titles entry, and five songs I came up with all by myself.
I've really been enjoying this, particularly "Shaped Like Ohio" and "Glue."

Ok, so I don't really consider myself a songwriter at all, but this is the first song (that's not a parody) that I helped write. Unless you play Minecraft on the same mini games servers as I do, or have watched my Minecraft videos, you probably won't get most of the references. That being said I've reviewed here in the past...might as well put my stuff here.

PS: I wrote the lyrics.
Dr. Lindyke performed the rap.
Jonathan Mann wrote the music.

I wrote two songs this weekend. One was for the Toll of the Inferno fight. The other was this one: Megaberth.

Only one new song, but almost all new recordings and a shameless self promotion. I just released a bandcamp album yesterday that's free to download or listen to for the next month or so. I believe there is only one songfight song on it "Cloud Cuckoo Land" and it's the only song I didn't rerecord, I just remixed it with some massive editing on a part or two.

Not my song, but FAWMers Steven Guiles and Amanda West started a new band 'Future Kings of Denmark'.

Video for the first song 'Stay With Me' is up. LP to follow.

I wrote a protest song in response to US immigration policy:

http://micahsommer.bandcamp.com/track/let-them-in

It's available for free download but if you buy it, I'll donate my cut to immigration advocacy groups.

Last week I got to sing it at a religious conference in front of a few hundred people, so that was cool.

I posted up my favorites from my FAWM output last month here including a re-exported version of "My Favorite Monster" where I fixed the cut-off intro from the Songfight version (oops).

I was going to fix the glitches/pops someone mentioned in "Walk Steady" as well but unfortunately it was an issue on the actual recording and not due to me accidentally chopping up the track somehow, and I didn't have time to re-record.

Lucky Witch just released a cover of 4 Non Blondes' "What's Up" as a part of Flochanmusic's Chock Chams, tribute to Jock Jams. Check it out if you are so inclined.

Haha, this is great fun. Just the right level of lo-fi recording for my tastes and the vocals sound really good!

Nice! Love that song.

I love the sparkly Omnichord floating above the guitars, and the wordless kind of hummed vocals going into the big chorus sound great. And the tempo changes!

I wrote a new parody. Song Fighter Jonathan Mann did the music & SpinTuner Jenny Katz did the vocals.
