ahh best Denyer song ever! thanks.
Damn straight, so good I covered it twice. Links now updated.

This song live would be bad ass. should make it part of carpetburn live shows.

Im not sure if this is the right place to post this. Ive covered a songfighters song, but its from last years FAWM. But anyway......

Right.

Ive covered a Hoosenbergler song.

so here it is.

As i have no hosting myself, Ive uploaded it to lightningmp3.com (thanks Niv)
the link is:-
Amsterdam

enjoy, and check out the original, Im not sure where to find it at the mo, I have it on my computer, I havent uploaded that obviously, its j$'s

Inspired by another thread, I decided to record this without going into cubase as usual, so instead, I recorded this in an all together different way (using VDAT) and the sparkle it has coming off my machine is incredible. Obviously all this extra joy is lost upon mp3 conversion but wow, what a difference it makes to not use the cubase flt point audio engine (seriously, it shocked me).

anyway that is all

thank you

That's awesome, Messiah! Thanks so much! It's got the feel of the Alarm or something in their later slightly folky period, but with the requisite punk energy. Only better than them, obv. There is something of the Nikki Sudden to the voice as well, which I appreciate!

In answer to your question I actually don't have the hoosenbergler FAWM (which 'Amsterdam' is from) online at the moment - I will upload it over the weekend for comparision purpose. This is one of my favourite songs I wrote, and I also have a version of me singing it with the Hoosenbegler VST (:)) turned off somewhere. i might upload both.

Cheers again - good werk!

Jack Shite did a cover of my Sunny Again, here

And I did a cover of Walrus Gumble's Say the Word

Also, for Variation, the Jack Shite link (second link, to original) goes to my original, not the Shite's.

This is on my list - having completed two 'outstanding' albums so far this year (the Mr B & Mr C collab, and the Spacepub dub album) it is, I believe, due to get done next, along with the Dollar Bill & The Inkpoints album and the 're-master' of the first two Tiny Paws of Fury AADs.

Three, acutally, including this year's FAWM, 'The Holy Romance Empire', a vague concept album about the rise and fall of a disasterous relationship.

I was planning on doing an album a month this year - or rather getting 12 albums out over the year, as I probably have enough half-recorded material that needs finishing up - but more realistically it will be 6. Makes up for my relatively quiet output last year!

Rachael Layne - Sounds of Chrysler (Ken Mahru Cover)

Recorded in December of 2006, and I failed to share it with anyone but Ken until I fixed the levels and tweaked the mix a bit today.

ROCK!

Please add this song to your list of covers:
http://www.nerdcoresongs.com/chbwrossdurand.mp3 - Couldn't Have Been Worse, by Ross Durand.
His version has the same title as my original.

Also, 4 of my songs have had their lyrics "stolen" for Songfights, where I posted the lyrics before the fight started, and then somebody used my lyrics to create their song for the week. Is that considered hxaro? If so, here's the links:
http://www.nerdcoresongs.com/lyricburgl ... emphis.mp3 - Thank God For Memphis, by Lyric Burglar.
http://www.nerdcoresongs.com/bizarroeri ... unting.mp3 - And Counting, by Bizarro Eric MC.
http://www.nerdcoresongs.com/thomasjeffersons501.mp3 - 501, by The Thomas Jeffersons.
http://www.nerdcoresongs.com/thomasjeff ... threat.mp3 - Credible Threat, by The Thomas Jeffersons.

Okay, so that CHBW song is Ross Durand covering you, correct?

On the other ones, since they were submitted to songfight under one of the lyric burglar's aliases, the song is already archived/hosted by songfight, correct? In that case, I wouldn't be putting them in the covers archive. If any of those LB songs were not actually submitted, let me know and I'll think about what to do with them... but my main concern is collecting these covers and having them hosted by songfight so they don't get lost when the original fighter's website goes away.

Yes, the CHBW link I gave you is Ross Durand covering my Sognfight song. He did it as part of a forum discussion we were having about my song. He did not enter it into Songfight and it is not hosted by Songfight.

Right, the other 4 cover songs I listed are already part of Songfight, and they are hosted by songfight already, so I understand why they would not fit your site.

Just to keep things pedantic - it should be made clear that there were more than one lyric burglars at work there, and only one of these lyric burglars goes by the name of Lyricburglar. But since it has already been made clear that none of those songs are relevant to this thread, then .... errr... what was I talking about?
