That's an inspired choice. If I recorded that I'd probably wanna throw in Super Chicken as well.

At my old job we briefly had this blonde knockout working in our front office. I would talk to her in that voice and call her "Marigold." She thought I was batshit crazy.
That's awesome. And batshit crazy is a compliment in my book.

I almost went with Super Chicken! We sing it all the time in our house, believe it or not. Tom Slick won, though, just so I could hear if anyone would pick up the challenge to shoehorn "Thunderbolt Greaseslapper" into a performance.

Gotcha, and totally understood. I'm working on something today for the Precipitation songfight. Thanks for the response! It also showed me I need to adjust my notifications since I didn't see this until yesterday.

Hey John. You haven't competed in a Songfight or Nur Ein yet. I've gotta hesitate on giving you an assignment or giving out your assignment. You've gotta be an songfighter first to participate in the Songfight Secret Santa. Get a song into the main competition and then we'll get you set up for GOM.

Been working on my song for the last few days. It's safe to say I haven't been so happy about a song coming together in a long time. Yay GoM!

Fucking horsedogarseshit. Just saw my assignment, didn't receive an email notification for some reason. Soundcard stopped working 2 days ago. Unlikely I'll meet the deadline. Will try, just saying. Apologies.

I'll leave it up to the powers that be but I will have plenty of time, haven't received an assignment yet, and have working audio equipment.

And since the signup deadline was extended, that means the due date will also be extended, right? RIGHT??

We'll definitely need an extension seeing as there have been a few shakeups as of late. Jlampson, you'll definitely be a part. Stay tuned.

Has anyone heard about the revised deadline?

Step-by-step instructions on how to record a cover for GoM:

1. Pick song. CHECK.
2. Learn how to play song. CHECK.
3. Hum song to self in shower over an over again until you settle on an arrangement you like. CHECK.
4. Spend hours meticulously programming drum track. CHECK.
5. Realize that there's an entire bridge missing from your drum track. FUUUUUU...

In other words, thanks for the extension!

Ooof coming in under the wire on mine - have had the music done for three weeks, came to do the vocal tonight, and realised the song had a whole second verse and an annoying half-bridge that I hadn't been aware of three weeks ago ... so, anyway, it's all recorded - just needs f**king with now, will definitely be in by the end of 30th Jan, UK time.

Yeah, anyway, just me going "not dead!". It's still amaze-balls so see you on the flipside, bitches.

Yeah, mine is done. I'm making some last tweaks. I've got an awesome collaboration going on with Steve Durand on trumpet, Paco del Stinko on something that is not guitar, nor bass, nor drums, nor vocals (((it's a surprise))) and DJ Ranger Deni doing backup vox. I think my giftee is going to love it! *squeel* :P

...oh, and I'll send it in tomorrow the 30th, fashionably on time.
