Well, you have a little bit more time than the average Song Fight, so hopefully you can put that to good use!

So, I tried to sign up on the first page, and then I forgot to check back in and so I never sent a title, but I'm not on the list either so that works out well.
I don't have a lot of free time anyway, so this is probably for the best, even though that makes it the first CoT I'm not participating in. Oh well. Have fun, guys!

Yikes, I missed that post! Jan, if you still want in, send me a title real quick; I know a way to make this right.

I have successfully written my first new song this year... Now to find time to record it, Sunday will be the day I suppose.

Who's got two thumbs and just thought of a much better chorus right after recording half his song?

This guy!

The bad news, that means I have to scrap a lot of work.
The good news is that the song finally "clicked" for me. Now the real work can begin. :)

I got a... kind of strange title. I'm not entirely sure what its intended meaning was. But I wrote a song based on my interpretation anyway, which I shall finish in the next two days.

Sorry about that. Since I am sitting this round out, the strange title had to land on someone else.

The title I submitted would have probably been given to Irwin. I appologize.

There was only one title in this year's batch that made me think "Yep, here's the one that would have landed in Irwin's lap." And BBABM is right, it was his.

Believe it or not, that's not the one Nick got. Go figure.

Yeah, mine is not that strange actually, that wasn't the best way to describe it. It just sounds like some kind of phrase or idiom that I don't quite get, that's all. But, no big deal. My song is almost finished now and I think it turned out alright.

English isn't your first language, right Nick?

You're right about that. I feel kind of dumb now if my title means something, like, totally obvious to a native speaker. Maybe you could enlighten me in a PM?

I know. Let me explain it a bit clearer: I understand what my title means in the literal sense, it's kind of a pun, with the verb having two different meanings, but it still sounds weird as a title. I don't quite know how to put it :?

I know exactly what it means when you say it sounds like an idiom, but I'm guessing it doesn't mean anything more to me than it does to you. I suspect (and the title donor can confirm or deny this when everything is revealed in a few days) that the person who came up with this title just thought it sounded nice.

And that's all I'll say. Don't ruin the surprise! :-)

I apologize to whomever got my title, which was literally the first word that popped into my head when it was time to come up with a title.

Thank you, that's flattering. I believe that I do have a better sense of grammar and pronunciation than most of my countrymen, such as one certain ex-governor of California... Yeah, that's right, I'm Austrian. Funny, seeing how you're Australian. Some Americans tend to get confused about the difference a bit. No kangaroos here. ;)
And no, I'm not a grumpy Alpine hillbilly, though we do have our fair share of those here. :D
