Really enjoying the new season. I'm five episodes in, I think the Diane-centric one was my favourite so far. Lots of fascinating story threads set up for this season, excited to find out where they take them - I'm sure they'll find another way to break my heart somehow. This is absolutely not a criticism!

I watched that one last night, it very much lived up to the hype that it's been picking up here on Songfight.net's buzzing BoJack Horseman discussion thread!

I love the way they keep finding new ways to break my heart.

I've been liking how NOT Bojack centric most of this season has been so far. Then I got to episode 6 which is nearly 100% Bojack, wham, but, on the other hand ... it didn't feel like a "Bojack centric episode" to me somehow. They stepped out of the normal rhythm of the season in a way that made it feel completely different, by having an episode consisting of just two monologues, that covered a lot of (messed up) ground. This show's writers have skillz.

I watched 7 and 8 last night. The dolphin version of Flip gave me one of the biggest laughs this season, and I love that they can still drop such a big, important ending onto an episode even when it's that ridiculously goofy.

Episode 8 must be one of the most densely packed they've ever done! I'm sure I missed a ton of background gags, gonna have to watch that one again for sure.

While the first 8 episodes were all individually great, the last four episodes kind of gave me whiplash. It felt like the writers were like "Oh yeah, this show is about Bojack, we should have some kind of plot line that happens for him". Previous seasons felt like they did a better job of keeping some kind of coherent main Bojack thread developing steadily all along, devoting some or all of most episodes to it. This time that really only seemed to happen in the last four episodes. Suddenly he's hooked on Oxi and things spiral rapidly from there, till the (horrifying) end of episode 11. I wasn't sure where they would go from there and I felt like the final episode was kind of a let down. There were some good things about it but it really didn't feel like it adequately addressed the magnitude of Bojack's actions at the end of episode 11.

Nice! Y'all are Bojack fans too, just stumbling into other parts of the forum. Third Cat loves this show. Princess Caroline especially of course.
