Aw man, that makes me sad.

At least they're trying to get his ashes up there with Roddenberry: http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/07/2 ... index.html

I will always remember Scotty fondly as the man who took up half the movie screen in Star Trek V onwards, and appeared in NG trapped in a Dyson Sphere, when better casting would have had him playing the Dyson Sphere himself.

Rest in peace. I hope they have burgers in heaven.

For a Canadian Irishman he was the best advert ever for the truth integrity and ingenuity of the Scottish Engineer.

Old poets have sung, and old chronicles tell,
What champions ventur`d, what champions fell:
The son of great Loda was conqueror still,
And blew on the Whistle their requiem shrill.
"You know, I rather like this God fellow. Very theatrical, you know. Pestilence here, a plague there. Omnipotence ... gotta get me some of that."
