Palladia

Post by Billy's Little Trip »

Either no one has discovered this incredible bit of awesomeness yet, or you just haven't formed an opinion yet, OR you are just too lazy to share with your SF brethren and sisteren. So this guy *points both thumbs to my chest* is telling you *points index and middle fingers from one hand with style at you*, is telling you to watch this when you get a chance.

What is Palladia you ask? It is live bands in the fashion of the beginning of MTV, but not music videos. It's all live performances! It's ALL in 1080p and 5.1 surround sound! All of it! Everything on Palladia is filmed specifically for Palladia. Sorry, I read this info wrong. Palladia does sponsor and film "some" of the live performances. And some are previously filmed concerts and events. But they only allow high def quality in their lineup.

This weekend is 80s only. They normally do random bands, but they do special concerts like the 80s one. I'm still getting familiar to their format. But to be honest, they are so new, I don't think they have anything set in stone yet. But I can tell you, I haven't been disappointed once yet when I watch. As I'm typing this, I'm watching Human League perform Keep Feeling Fascination! Live! On a 60" LED! With a bose surround sound system! In 5.1! They are old! .....They still fucking rock! I'm so happy. :P

where I live it's channel 789 with cox cable. But here, this will get you started for where you live. http://www.palladia.tv/

Now this would be an awesome channal to watch and have one of them tharrr new fangled listening paty thingy muhbobs.

The Cure right now. I've never paid much attention to the band, other than liking some of their music. But I never realised how awesome the guitar players riffs are. Sweet, funking, groovin' rhythms. It's so different actually watching it. It's totally inspiring me right now.

...color me inspired. :P
