Yep. I was not expecting the turn. But it is in it's own category.

Spoiler alert below!

I was just really happy that Todd found a house on PV solar with a freezer full of bacon! I was ecstatic! Not only power, but fucking BACON!

So, this show keeps getting better and better, BUT one thing about it really bugs me:

If it takes place in 2020, and Phil is in his 30s or so, it would stand to reason that he was born in 1990. So why the hell are all of his pop culture references to things that people would have been into in the 80s?

And for that matter, Gail is in her 40s or maybe early 50s. Meaning she'd have been born, well, around the same time as me. So why the crap does she not know what a drone is?

Gail gives me the impression that she's in her 50 to 60 range. Thus, she could've just missed the drone era. But yeah, I thought the same thing. Even if she didn't know it was a drone, she'd know it was a RC flying thing. Is that so hard to explain? Although, she has been on the wine pretty heavy of late, lol. The others are unintentionally gas-lighting her.

Who says Phil is in his 30s? Everything about him is early Gen X'er. But then again, I never did the math, lol.

I'm just judging based on appearance, accounting for the fact they've been in a post-apocalyptic hell of isolation for a couple of years. I guess Will Forte is 45 now though. Okay, so I guess his character would have only been a few years older than me. I guess it's more like I forgot how far in the future we are.

(Oh and Gail's actress is 63.)

I can't believe this was in 2015! Right before our country almost became a dictatorship by a borderline illiterate moron, lol. I did think about this show more than once when the pandemic hit. Not going to lie, I got a little nervous a few times. But that's probably due to the MSM putting the fear of Alanis into us everyday.
