I really have no problems with the constitutional monarchy, I'm in the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" camp - but there are times - mainly during The Ashes and Rugby World Cups (or maybe Soccer World Cups?) when it does rankle a bit that our Head of State is barracking for the other team.

The obvious answer is King Michael I of Jerilderie:

Dr. Michael Jones a leading historian of the medieval period has claimed that he has found written evidence that the English line of succession descended from the Norman Kings in England is false...

Dr. Jones concluded that the person who has the rightful claim to the English throne as King of England is none other than Michael Lord Abney-Hastings who was born in Britain in 1942. He moved to a 2400 ha. farm near Jerilderie, Southern New South Wales, Australia in his teens where he has resided ever since.

Aspire to better breeding, or perhaps cloning? You could always fall-back on an ex-officio artificial council. Ya'll can super-bloody do it!
