Do we still need a "____ & ____" tag line for this?

Yes. A few have been suggested, but we probably need someone to make an executive decision.

I like Yanks and Banks, as proposed by roymond (I think). It's short and sweet.

I still like "Rockers and Rockettes" but it might be hard to bring the Rawk without a drum kit, a PA, or Glenn Case.

i like "yanks & banks" too. short, to the point... i assume most people coming are from outside new york(?). As a Redsox fan i think of yankees. being from virginia, we call people from the north "yanks". as a skater, "the brooklyn banks" is probably one of the best known skate spots in nyc... of course they also have a huge financial district. works for me.

After hearing BBABM's viewpoint, Yanks & Banks has grown on me.

So, does someone wanna photoshop the Statue of Liberty with a guitar, hitting a trumpet player?

For whoever is organising the schedule, I don't have a set I'm just guesting. Are you at the point where you could fit everyone in a single session?

If we need to squeeze, I am playing drums for fluffy, roymond and inevitableguy ... I could play songs in-between while they were re-setting up, given it's just me and my guitar.
(edit 1) Three 7 min sets is cool.
(edit2). Others may not want to move that fast, just a suggestion.

Got a lead on a place in Williamsburg (with a PA) and room for about 50 or so. I'm going to check it out tonight.

Okay folks let me give you an update on what's going on.

This morning, I got in contact with a booker for Spike Hill, which is a venue in Williamsburg. That weekend in Williamsburg is the annual Williamsburg Walks festival. If this booking is finalized (and it's looking quite positive that it will), we would be playing Spike Hill, June 11th, during the festival. We would be getting a 4 hour time slot (3-7PM)...maybe more.

As for Sunday, I went to check out a place called The Firehouse Space. It's a quirky yet cool space in a renovated firehouse in Williamsburg. We can get that space for Sunday, at a better price than Spaceonwhite, and it will include PA as well as a grand piano and various other amenities. Not as much foot traffic as we'll get for the Saturday show BUT if we do the livefight here, our recordings should be pretty badass.

Wow, Spike Hill has not only a PA but a drum kit and a back line (one bass and two guitar amps) as well. And food and beer! That sounds potentially pretty awesome. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help out with these changes Niv. Thanks again for all your work.

SWEET. So would we be doing both parts of the show on Saturday, then? That actually might make things a bit better, since I know a bunch of people aren't arriving until Friday and a bunch of other people are leaving on Sunday. And being part of a street festival is just awesome!

(Well, as long as this doesn't mean I'll be drumming for four hours straight...)

fluffy, put on your glasses. ;) We would still be doing Saturday and Sunday. It's just that the Saturday concert would be earlier in the day.

Oh, I only read the first paragraph and I thought he was talking about that as a replacement for the Sunday show, and not about replacing the Saturday show too.

This sounds great, NIV. Are these done deals? Spike Hill is in the heart of hipster Williamsburg, great street scene there. We got great felafel with JB there two years ago. The Firehouse Space looks awesome, too.

Oh also if these plans work out I'm pretty sure I want to play on Saturday instead. I like foot traffic. :)

Just for the record, since the Firehouse has a grand piano onsite, I'm reserving a set on Sunday. :)
