I would love that, and I asked Spud and JB for it a few times, with no response. If someone reading this thread has the ability to make that happen, I'm all for it.

There is a very good chance that I will be bringing my Rhodes on Saturday night. Would like to get it setup at the start and any acts that night are welcome to use it as a keyboard, which is what I will be doing.

What kind of Rhodes? How many voices does it have? Does it have a good organ patch?

No keytar this time, sorry!

It's a Rhodes Stage Piano: http://legacy.fenderrhodes.com/img/mode ... tage73.jpg

It has only one beautiful sound. If I bring my tremelo pedal it can be made to sound kind of like an organ though.

Okay everyone, I've sent out private messages to everyone on the "Yes" or "Maybe" lists. If you plan on coming to the show, but you haven't gotten a private message from me, let me know ASAP. Especially if you plan on playing a set.

Also, check to make sure you're on the latest version of the schedule. And that you're okay with your time slot. I've published this version of the schedule to Google+ and Facebook, but that doesn't mean it's set in stone; I'm not adverse to adding more performers or moving the order around if needed. We're ending about an hour earlier each night than necessary, so if you're not on the schedule yet, there's no reason not to speak up!

I can fix almost any problem you have, but I need to know about it, so let me know if there's anything about the event so far that doesn't work for you!

I don't see how this could matter to anyone on this board, but I've had the event listed in a couple of local "Things to do" publications:

http://showlistaustin.com/#2013August9
http://showlistaustin.com/#2013August10
http://do512.com/event/2013/08/09/song- ... eird-wired

And I'm pretty sure we're set to have a listing in the print edition of next week's Chronicle.

I am operating under the assumption that I will be able to borrow an acoustic guitar and capo. All of mine are likely on a boat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean right now. My father-in-law has a really nice Takamine, but he may not want to let me borrow it.

My gear is pretty mid-range, but you're welcome to it. There's also an equipment list earlier in this thread. I'm going to get fresh strings on all my stringed instruments this weekend, so it should feel smooth and sound nice and clear.

Tomorrow afternoon, I'm buying strings for my instruments.

Will anyone need the ukulele, banjo, or mandolin?

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but what's the situation for guitar amplification? I like to be able to switch some stuff on and off during songs (i.e., I need pedals or an amp with footswitch control). I can toss my overdrive, chorus, and tuner pedals in my bag if they are needed. Actually, I'll probably bring my overdrive no matter what, I love that thing.

Oh, I forgot to ask about one little thing. Will there be music stands...? Two would be great, more would be more great. I could maybe pack one if I had to, but, I'd prefer not to.

You can use my pedalboard if you want. It has an echo and a phaser and a flange and a big muff pi. But also if you have pedals you can bring you probably should, people love variety.

Wow, I panicked for a bit, because I don't own any music stands (when you play piano, you mind if don't need them)... But hey, the venue has us covered. There are four stands there.

Great, that's good news. Thanks for checking it Jon. It's kind of a critical element for Song Fight! Live on account of us not knowing each others' songs ... or our own songs for that matter. ;)
