Actually - no I'm not. I cancelled that. Looked on google maps and it looks like a dull sort of area. I will stay somewhere else.

That's a very tempting offer - but while I understand that upon crossing from the southern to northern hemisphere, the Coriolis effect may cause some things to appear to reverse direction - I am expecting that to be generally limited to the vortex direction of water going down plugholes. I don't believe it will incline me to reverse the vortex direction of my own plughole.

At least there are bars and restaurants around it. The Holiday Inn seemed to only have fast-food in the general vicinity (according to googlemaps)

The Holiday Inn is for people who want to be near the Capitol and Smithsonian attractions.

Is it going to be hot over there? Do I need to wear pants?

It will be in the 80's to low 90's during the day and getting into the 70's at night most likely.
