I'd like to maximize the attendance since I do get tired of karaoke. :). But I'm up for going out all the nights, and hey sometimes you accidentally end up at karaoke...
Anytime. Anywhere. But I arrive in town about 8pm tonight. I will have gone about 30 hours without sleep and be chock full of free drinks from various airport lounges and ready to sing

Now on US soil and have had my first few Budweisers. Cool here - you can just ask for a 'beer' without all of the complex state based glass size names of back home. God bless America

Okay, despite my colon still trying to invert itself as painfully as possible, I think I'm able to actually get out and about now. Who else is in DC? I'm near 13th and R street (same general 'hood as the venue), and there's apparently lots to do around here, if anyone wants to meet up.

We are arrived - 12th and independence.

I'm going to recover from the drive a little and then head out to explore/dinner/drinks. Prob around 8:30 or so.

I can look up places or I'm open to suggestions. It's my first time here so I have no idea yet.

I'm here! But my luggage is still on the way from Dallas. Just what I needed after over 24 hours of travel! Another hours wait at the airport

For those of you that use Facebook, it seems like the Facebook events for this weekend tied to the Song Fight! Facebook page dropped off the radar. Here they are if you want to say you're going and/or share the word. I've adjusted the times and added the link to Jon Eric's YouTube channel and cross linked the two events.

Night 1
https://www.facebook.com/events/648247451927966/
Night 2
https://www.facebook.com/events/1453387781574578/

EDIT: In a fit of craziness I also gave Facebook a couple bucks to "boost" the Song Fight! page post about the event. Never done that before, figured this would be an opportunity to experiment with it...

Holly Furlone and I are hitting the road at daybreak on Friday. It'll take us about 10-11 hours probably. Really looking forward to seeing you all.

Um, no, no targeting, just people who like the page and their friends I think. Is that bad? I've never done this before. :/

Also, to reiterate, I mistyped earlier, I'm getting in Friday morning, not tomorrow morning.

cool.

re: targeting-- depends on the goal. if you want ppl to watch the stream then fans is good. if you want ppl to show up to the show or enter their own live fight song, then target ppl in the DC area. probably could restrict some other demos to narrow the audience as well and increase the engagement rate etc etc I know too much about this shit

seeya Friday!

Hey Fluffy and Man Glut. I made it back to my hotel. But I did get lost. Google maps got me home with 1% power to spare. Oh, and I had to do a piss in a nightclub. At least they had the decency to ask for my ID to prove I was over 18. Not like those other rude bastards.

Actually.... The bouncer asked for my ID , and when I went to get my wallet out, he cracked up and said "just joking man". Bastards.

My flight has landed. Waiting on baggage claim right now, then the subway down to the apartment we've rented. John, John, Mike, and fluffy, is there anything going on this evening?

If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.
