I read that the president (THEIR PRESIDENT) wouldn't sign it to pass. Mexicans are PO'd about this because the equate it to puppetry from OUR government (U.S.A.). They believe that he wouldn't pass it because of pressure from 'W'.

Wish we had that kind of influence on the whole world...

I'm all for the legalazation of Marjuana ... but prolly not a good idea to have all those other drugs floatin' 'round the streets. If there were just some way to...say....regulate the usage...hmmmm

Drugs are bad, mmmkay. But yeah, let 'em have it if they want it. Fund an educational program (D.A.R.E. but hopefully less ridiculous) if you want people not to do drugs, but don't force people not to do them.

i agree with you puce. all that money wasted on fighting the importation could not only be saved, it could generate revenue when it could be regulated and taxed. tons of money and lives have been wasted on trials, courts, prisons for simple users. of course there's no way you'd get that sort of outside the box thinking from inside the beltway.

i also wouldn't be surprised if bush had some play in this. this whole thing flew pretty much under the media radar until the mainstream (i.e. Fox) news got a hold of the story. i'd bet he threatened to pull the plug on NAFTA somehow. can't have no open borders with open drug usage.

I remember when they brought in that stuffed lion and a cop yelled at me in like 3rd grade. He was like "some guys join the force just to beat people up." and then he wouldn't call on me for like 10 minutes. Finally I got to ask, "Well why did you join the force?" well honestly... if they didn't want the stuff in the country... it wouldn't be here...
of course it reeks of conspiracy...
they wouldn't honestly be able to limit usage... or control the making... everyone knows how to make most of this stuff... so there would be no real way for them to 'make sure' they'd make money off of it...
while constantly pulling people over and searching and giving them hefty fines... always brings up good revenue...
and they don't have to allow anything... and make even more money off of it...

drugs in the states will absolutely... NEVER... be legal... not because they are bad...
but because they are worth more to the government being illegal...
of course i have no facts to support this... only basic knowledge of looking around me for the past few years...

and of course mexico is not powerful enough to overtake america... so of course they won't be able to do it either... cause america knows... we'd all move there haha... in a heart beat... like we love all these moral codes on how to live our lives... they finally figured out how to do God's job, better then he can...
if i had to say one thing... i would think this is one of the most corrupt evil countries of all time... for even using a religion to back up their corruption...

i personally find it very degrading... and very very awful... i'm so sick of this country... if they came in and killed me tomorrow for saying it... i'd thank them for the sweet release... because i don't think it's gonna get no better... (everyone is too scared of seeing things from a different perception... because perception changes laws... but yet we were all trained to memorize the same perception... and we all got our mental disorders down to a 'science'...
i wonder what people did a hundred years ago for these issues... hmmm :::finger to chin::::...
sure people naturally have disorders... but deffinately not to this degree... fuckin' outlandish... everyone thinks they're fucked up...

Bullshit. The US will spend at least 30 billion dollars on drug enforcement this year, which does not include the cost of keeping the 25% of inmates sentenced for drug offences incarcerated. If fines recoup even 5 percent of this expenditure I will eat my hat.

well honestly i think it's a conspiracy... everything is in cahoots with something else...
we have the best national security in the world.... they know how it gets in... they can figure out who's bringing it... and they can actually figure out a way to stop it... if they truely wished 2...
so i have no actual 'facts' on anything... such things aren't documented...
just think about it...

they must be skimming... there is no way they aren't getting their hands on that money... it's almost an even 'better' way to regulate it... cause they can control numbers and catch those that don't follow such 'rules'...

drugs are far to readily available... it would be a rediculuous thought... that they have no clue how so much is coming....

however since i am not backing this up with documented proof i shall stop... but i understand what you are saying... (a government that rules over half the worlds wealth i'm sure isn't near as worried about expenses... they can suck that out of us...)
