Yeah, this has been all over Fark.... I'll say here what I said there.

IMO..and it's ONLY a possibility... but it looks like a bullet proof vest that seams up the back.

Of course, the popular guess is that it's some type of communication device.

To that I say... what? from 1970? I mean, we have wireless these days people. And... how does it get to his ear?

Others say it might be a device to read vitals and what not. Similar to the stuff they stick on special forces soldiers. Why not put it on the president too.

Ok, thats' a possibility too.

I don't see why the bulge is a story. The dude lost even IF he had wifi help. So you could say, if you wanted to believe the worst, that Kerry beat Rove AND Bush. It's not like we're trying to explain away a loss here... *shrug*

EYES ON THE PRIZE. I think there are more important things to worry about. Like voter suppression.

I wasn't implying that at all. Just pointing something interesting out to further the ongoing point that Bush is a blithering idiot.

Mild curiosity: why do all the theorists say it was Rove feeding him the answers?

I know, I'm just saying, I don't get the whole hubbub. I also don't get the hubbub about ashlee simpson lip synching.

What was funny about that is that she didn't start singing the song that her band was actually playing. Like, she was either so mortified about the lip-sync being obvious that she had to leave the stage or she didn't actually have the song they started playing memorized, probably because she usually lip-syncs it.

I think she's a pretty new performer, and so if things don't go exactly as she rehearsed them, she may not know what to do. Thus the little jig.

This is actually pretty cool concept...as in, "Hey. Stick your fingers in your ears. Can't you see I'm trying to tell you something?"
I love reading about "up and coming" technologies. (After all, there IS more to life than sweatpants.)
To Do Is To Be. --Socrates
To Be Is To Do. --Plato
DoBeDoBe, DoBeDo --Sinatra
I could 'see' you-- humming away (a few pill bottles on the sideboard)...But it just didn’t measure up to the insanity that is Freudian Slip...
