The only question is what to say and how to say it...
Seems an appropriate topic for discussion for some reason.
And I still didn't get a song written.

On the upside, I'm starting to use the studio to record the songs of musician friends. And I'm reading whole books of philosophy. And practicing my old Bach piano pieces at least once a week, in the hope of being able to get through them again. When I was seventeen I could play them just fine.

This is just in case anyone thought I was sitting around drinking beer. (Which I am also doing.)

This all sounds like a pretty great way to spend your retirement time :D

So. How was your day?

Pretty okay I guess. I mostly relaxed, since the last two days were stressful on my body and I needed to recover from it. How about you?

Rad. Walked on beach. Swam in ocean. Drank coffee.

You?

How was your day, irwin?

Hope you're feeling better after the relaxation time, fluffy.

Which beach/which ocean, gizo?

My day has been uneventful. The usual working, being exhausted, etc. The most exciting thing that has happened so far is that my cat wiggled away during her subcutaneous fluids injection (she has kidney disease and needs to be injected with fluids a few times a week) and caused us to spray saline all over the dining room.

My day was more eventful that it should have been. My kid has thrown up at least 3 times and has been running a bit of a fever all day.

Good news is nothing else bad has happened after my week (involving my wife also getting sick, my cat losing the tip of her tail, and my A/C acting up). I even found a new musical collaboration partner in an old friend of mine from many many years ago.

And I, like Gizo, have been drinking coffee. I love coffee.

As a matter of fact - I’m drinking coffee again right now!

I’ve been hanging out for the week at Venus Bay, which is a lovely sleepy holiday town with very little happening apart from ocean waves and sunshine. And coffee, of course.

We got 70% off of an espresso machine the other day.

Such an efficient way to caffeinate!

My upstairs neighbors are having their floors refinished. This is supposedly the last day of "noise" in a months-long renovation project. Gaahhhhhhh.

I work from home, btw.

Note to future home improvers: If your neighbors work from home, buy them a couple months of a wework desk while your renovations happen. It'll just be like $800 or so added to your already huge renovation bill, but you'll avoid creating a tense situation with resentful people a wall away from you.

800 bucks is expensive, but having your neighbors like you does pay dividends over the long haul!

I just went for a run. All my dog has to do to keep up with me is put on a light jog. He is a greyhound, but Jaysus, way to demoralise me Tadhg.

I'm nearing the end of my work day. It'll be the second day in a row I haven't been able to run because of commitments. Speaking of... I think I'm helping do sound at the local coffee shop tonight. If not then I can run *cheer*

Did you move since SFLive DC? I thought your townhome had the complete vertical slice.

I was gonna go for a run and do some weight training earlier but then I remembered that my gym's childcare hours only run from 5 to 7. So instead I'm going in the morning with my wife and then we're all going to the fair.

I've also been messing around with the violin lately. I miss frets...

It has been a hectic week. We’re still mopping up from a fileserver outage (It’s now 1AM local time on Friday night/Saturday morning and things are not completely back). I don’t run, but I did ride my bicycle to work twice this week.

Yah we moved a few streets away a few years ago, bought a two-floor condo. The other place (which was the whole slice) was a rental.
