2/12/13 - Christmas Parties

Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

2/12/13 - Christmas Parties

Post by Caravan Ray »

Had my work Xmas party last week.
Fancy Dress.
I went as a clown.

I don't understand "Clownaphopia".

Image

This was taken during karaoke - where I belted out a very respectable and Christmassy version of The Pogues "Fairy Tale of New York". I suspect I may have been singing here: "You're a bum, your a punk, you're an old slut on junk..."

EDIT...D'oh. Link doesn't seem to work. Oh well - most of you are my facebook friends - the photo is on there.

EDIT AGAIN...OK - that link does work

EDIT AGAIN...The funniest thing about this photo to me is that I had to take my red nose off because I couldn't drink enough with it on...that is why the tip of my nose is naked.

AND AGAIN: And OK - I don't need anyone to tell me that I don't actually need a fake red nose. My real one is good enough.

Clown-a-fobia is a serious medical condition effecting nearly all mentally defectives alive today. It's symptoms start slowly with an ever increasing interest in clown disguises, sex, and music. In nearly 90% of all cases, symptoms worsen suddenly when combining these interests at social gatherings.

The proper term is "coulrophobia," which I only learned recently.

My comics-drawing group is having a White Elephant-style party in a couple weeks. That's always fun.

My workplace's holiday party isn't until January, because if it were in December half of us would be getting paged with business-critical site outages during the party, and we couldn't have THAT.
