Oh, I-Veg, did you not think this was quite deliberate? Why do you think judges chose the letter 'A' to be excluded round six, knowing what the round 7 challenge would be? Always one step ahead
Niveous will be the keeper of the scores for Round Seven, so when it comes to it, PM him or e-mail him with your choice. More details to follow about the voting schedule once the final two are decided upon ...

Thanks for dropping in tonight for Round 6 - Here's the Final LP for Nur Ein XII
Merisan have competed in many Nur Eins but have never been the last band standing. The field was the strongest it's ever been with former champions all duking it out. They hung tough with the best of them and find themselves a step away from glory.
All that stands in their way is Skub. A former champion, Skub disappeared off the Songfight landscape for years. His return was sudden. Not only was Skub back, he may be better than ever. No competitor has ever dominated the rounds the way he has. This may be the greatest comeback story in Nur Ein history.
The plucky underdogs vs the comeback kid. I can't wait for the finals!!!

Wow, haven't been following this for the last two weeks (some infection starting out as a standard laryngitis, then worsening - I've fully recovered though! ), but I'm kind of proud of my divination power, since I suspected a final Skub vs. Merisan duel from the beginning! I wasn't the only one who did though.
No matter what your songs are going to sound like, it will be hard to pick a favorite in any case. Good luck to both of you!

Important Announcement:
There will be a significant change in this year's final. Merisan has decided to drop out of the competition. It's time for them to head out for their honeymoon. We wish them the best. Have fun you crazy kids.
We could have ended things there but Nur Ein is a competition and there will be a competitive finale. The participants have agreed.
It will be Skub v. Glenn Case v. 73 Keep It Beautiful v. Strangelove. A 4 way finale!
Songs will be due on 6/9.

I was hoping for something like this. It was great Merisan could compete as long as they did. Congrats to the happy couple!

Update-
I'll do a Song Fight LP for 'Black Days' tonight if the songs aren't due for a few days. Info to post after I get home from work.
I just noticed the 6/9 date as well - Hmm. I'll have a show tonight for a bit in any case, but can't have a LP if the songs aren't ready yet.
Looking forward to a fun final!

How will voting work?
Does each artist get one vote? or do we all rank the 4 finalists top to bottom?
If it's one vote each I expect more daring songs if it's ranking I expect more conservative songs.

I stated at some point that we'd have to remind competitors to rank all the songs and nobody disagreed with me, so I suspect it's that. However I'd say to make your best song (Bring your A-game) either way!
