This is why time zones are the enemy.

We should just decide a tme that is globally Zero O' Clock, and just keep counting from there.

S, like, next weeks gong would be due at 10080 minutes global time.

As this is essentially run from the boards, everyone could set their board timezone to the same time.

Also, holy crap, the entries are good. Are we doing reviews here, or in another thread?

A lot of really great songs, but I'm kind of let down by the challenge. I think it could have been pushed a lot farther than it was. Still, I guess it's ultimately the songs that are important. This Balance Lost/Balance Regained is quite tasty and breezy. Makes me want to drive around.

The judges are feeling lenient since this is Round Zero and are granting you entry into the round. During the big show, you may not be so lucky.

Billy's Little Trip

Which also means that potentially you have just knocked someone out of the competition.

I just noticed the 'refrain from commenting' post from the judges. Hopefully they'll let us off these generalised statements :P

That just asks the judges not to comment, we participants are allowed to comment, review, and posture as much as we like.

I have it on good authority (rumors, internets) that The Bovine Recyclery lyrics can be found here.

Our lyrics are posted now. Sorry for the delay. I'm super frickin' busy nowadays, which adds to the stress and excitement. Nur Ein!!!

why's puce so good

also it sounds like several of these don't have any non-tradition percussion. am i wrong?

also this bit with the qualifying round seems like a better way to go about it, in the future.

BLT, your song's rocking my world. I'm glad it was included, unless it means we get bumped. In that case, screw you! ;)

FWIW, I don't know. But his detailed description of his "unconventional percussion" had me excited about his entry and he did not disappoint. I predict him as the early favorite to win it all.
mkilly wrote:also it sounds like several of these don't have any non-tradition percussion. am i wrong?
I agree. I would love to see everyone list the "unconventional percussion" used in their songs.
mkilly wrote:also this bit with the qualifying round seems like a better way to go about it, in the future.
Agreed again. It's a very cool way to let late comers into the "show".

Obviously I'm not in this thing, but I am listening, and very interested. I'll do reviews when I can. So far, I'm liking what I hear.

Keep it up and good luck to all.

Thanks Lunk. Are you with Merisan on this one?

Steve D, you should ALWAYS sing in that voice. Cool song:P

Roger, I laugh my ass off ever time you squeeze that dinosaur. Rock'n song by the way.

Paco, AWESOME!.......and funny. Sweet solo.

Puce, you bastard, you're setting the bar pretty high. Thank you for that. Great tune dude.

Phil, great morphing bro, what a creative idea. At first I thought, what the fuck is up with his voice. Then it all clicked around the first chorus. Awesome.

Everyone did SO good on round zero. I'm slowly letting them all be absorbed.
