 Thanks. I know it's a line that is used time and time again, but it just sums up the song so perfectly.

I'm holding off on getting my day started until I see the Round One results. But, the judges are only human.....I think :?
I may have to just check back later, because I have to meet a guy at 11:30.

Nice guitar solo in your song, too, Ross. Paco, Glenny and Andy's guitar playing also stood out to me.

Rabid Garfunkel wrote:Ross, in my book anyway, your song was tops... it did take multiple listens to sink in (ah, folk. It's insidious), but brilliant fucking words, man, and the rest quite solid too.
That's the thing I've noticed about Ross' Music. It is so smart at times, my lowest common denominator brain needs multiple listens to really take it all in. But as I start picking up the cleverness, in both the lyrics, instrumentation, I start smiling. This round one song is the same way.

We are still missing two juror votes. And I'm probably going out in an hour so, it looks like there will be a considerable delay.

That's too bad. I'm wondering if I'll be kicked out in an earlier round than last time ...

Yes, well that's largely because I called the right guitarist. I just knew I couldn't give the song the bluegrass solo it was screaming for. Evil-E on lead guitar, ladies and gentleman. But I hope the songs succeeds on it's other merits as well and that the solo just completes the package.

By the way - You should have put yourself on that list, too, great solo in your song as well.

And thanks Rabid and Chris for your comments thet support my hope above. High compliments, I appreciate it.

Can't remember if I mentioned it Lunk, but same for you. You were rock'n that guitar and a great solo.

Niv,

How about the title and non-optional challenge, the worst that could happen is that we start working on a song and then find out we're not elligible for the next round. Which isn't so bad , to me anyway. The weekend is prime time, this is especially bad for Tex, his Saturday is completely gone already.

just a thought.

Hi y'all.

I am the only judge that hasn't submitted votes yet, sorry about the delay.

I have placings for everyone except Wreckdom, and I can't get their song to play for me this morning. Anyone have a mirror for their entry?

ROCK!

Well, I'm about to score out for an hour or so, so the scores and new title will appear between let's say 4 & 5.

Hey y'all.

Just got off the phone with Niveous again, and I have made my decision.

As penance for my late votes, I am going to help Niv out by tallying all of the results and posting them in a few moments.

ROCK!

I am double checking my math as I go, so I have scores for 7 entries thus far.

Of course, I won't be releasing the standings until I have all of them, but it's taking a little longer than I thought.

Soon.

ROCK!

Glenn: I know you're in a hurry and everything, so please understand I'm not picking on you. I just had to say that this cracked me up:

The winner of Round One was Puce. Out of a possible 109 points from the jury, Puce scored 129.

Thing is, I almost believe it, too!
