I don't think an album should have more than one song with the same title, cut #4. :P

Wow, Ray, I'm psyched! I wouldn't dare say that my song was best of the competition, but it was probably my best of the competition. Glad you liked it!

High compliments, Ray! Thanks or including me, I'm proud of both of those songs and honored by being on your list.
Also I'll agree to share honors with Paco if he will :-)

Some quick notes about the Nur Ein.

It's almost time for the next one. In 2006, it happened in March. In 2007, it happened in May. I don't wanna clash with the Smiths fight (especially since I'm looking forward to it alot), so it'll probably be in May again this year, keeping it as Songfight's Spring Classic.

A lot of Nur Ein links have gone dead as of late, especially because of Lightningmp3. So I'm asking all of those who have participated in the Nur Ein to send me copies of their entries so that I can put them all on my website for safekeeping. Please send copies of your songs to nurein.sidefight @ gmail.com and please save me some time by naming your files accordingly: (yourbandname)_(songtitle).mp3 all in lowercase.

A few people have asked about being judges this year. Puce as the current champion will be on the jury as well as myself and I believe Merisan was interested as well. Is there anyone else who expressed interest in being on the jury?

And yes, like last year, there will be a round zero.

Can't remember if I'd expressed an interest in being on the jury back then, but I am now.

Expressing an interest, that is.

Erin are I still interested. We'd judge as one unit, so as not to take up two slots, of course.

I expressed a desire to be a judge, but I'm not sure if I'd like to compete again, seeings as I enjoyed it so much last year!

If you end up with an empty slot then I'll definately step-in!

Hmmm. A jury of me, sp00n, RG, Merisan and Puce. That's an interesting mix. Sounds like a plan.

My songs are here: http://kni.songhole.org/EN/

I might like to participate this year. Maybe with an alter ego like Ray/Tex...

I really found that using an alter ego was helpful in focusing, especially for Nur Ein I where my songs did seem to have a coherent thread to them. The distinction between Ray and Tex blurred in Nur Ein II, to the point where I can't actually tell the difference between them anymore.

I will probably drag Tex out of mothballs again for Nur Ein III - but it looks likely that timewise it may clash with me selling my house and leaving Australia - so it may be a little tricky (my wife has been offered a job in New Zealand and I have just been offered something in Papua New Guinea - we haven't decided which one we will take yet)

Sadly, I will be away from June 22-July 10. So, if it starts in May, I probably wouldn't be able to see it through to my inevitable defeat in the final round. :D
