No, I'm just being optimistic and trying to figure out what I'm going to do if I make to the final round and I'm on a plane to France with 150 teenagers and no recording equipment.

Very true. Round Zero is on, no matter what.bz£ wrote:I might enter, I might not. You'll see a few entries from people you weren't expecting, and a few people on your list will not show up at all. I'd just run a round zero and adjust for whatever numbers you get.

Exactly! Saw a tribute to Ronnie Drew in February on Irish TV where somebody who couldn't make it phoned in his part for the recording.Billy's Little Trip wrote:Phone in a beautiful A Capella from 20 thousand feet?frankie big face wrote:No, I'm just being optimistic and trying to figure out what I'm going to do if I make to the final round and I'm on a plane to France with 150 teenagers and no recording equipment.

Yeah yeah yeah. Last year, I was told to "bring my A game" for the final round. Somehow I figure that's not an a capella cell phone call. That's okay--I'll just go back to my original plan, which involves either a) getting knocked out much earlier or b) MOBILE ROCK UNIT.

The Weakest Suit just bought a BOSS MICRO-BR. It looks really good and is about the size of an ipod.

Re: Nur Ein III
Am I supposed to verify that I'll be participating, or just send a song in for round zero if I do one?
I'm not saying I'll be doing one, just want to clarify in case I do. It would suck to do a song and be told I'm S.O.L. because I didn't 'sign up'.

Re: Nur Ein III
Anyone can put in a song. There's no more need to clarify if you will or you wont. I just needed to make sure there were more than 25 bands in.

Holiest of Crap
I just went through Nur Ein I and II for the first time and there's no way I'll be able to match everyone. These are some of the best songs I've heard everyone do, and I am officially scared out of my wits at the talent.
Well, meet you all in the loser's lounge after the Zero round.

Re: Nur Ein III
yeah, i'm out too. i was only going to be in if there were less than 25 people and it was going to start at round one. at this point in my life i really don't need to spend all that time writing and recording for something i know there's no chance in hell that i'll even come close to winning.EmbersOfAutumn wrote:Holiest of Crap

Just give it a shot anyway. Worst case scenario if you try and fail is that you'll have some more songs in the bag. If you don't even try, you'll may kick yourself later for it.

I don't ever expect to win any normal fights either, but I keep trying because it's fun and... well... you never know, ya know?

Definitely. Last year I had two of my best songs of the year. Also an OK one and two of my worst songs of the year. BUT STILL! Way worth it.Lunkhead wrote:Just give it a shot anyway.
