Re: Nur Ein IV: Final Round
How about something like nur ein but with less rounds and more time to work on songs? And, most importantly, the challenges would be way more heavy duty (ones that would drastically effect the song) with hopes of finding the most incredibly versatile band.

Re: Nur Ein IV: Final Round
Congrats Bankie Fig Brace!!! Excellent songs throughout this years competition.
And good job Reist! Nur Ein really pushed you get the rock out. Now that you've opened Pandora's box, I hope to hear more like it.
...and isn't semi annual every other year, not twice a year?

Re: Nur Ein IV: Final Round
Wait, then what's biannual?
Also: Nur Ein puts most other sidefights on hold. I say do it once a year, and leave room for the GoM, coverfights, and whatever else comes up.
Speaking of... what's next?

Re: Nur Ein IV: Final Round
OK - finally got around to listening to these:
REISTY: Wow - you really stepped up! I love the Cobain-iness. Song maybe not outstanding, but great attitude.
FBF: Big effort. Not my cup of tea, but I can tell you worked hard the whole competition. Well done - deserved winner.
I would have voted for Reist. Just on personal taste. And so great to see what our little "Jolly Roger" from all those years ago has grown into. See kids! Drugs are good for you!...ooops...should I delete that?!?

Re: Nur Ein IV: Final Round
Not to steer the discussion away from sex with trucks, but in other Nur Ein news, I played an opening set for Student Band last night in a crowded basement and it was pretty fun. Those guys are really good and, if they could have captured half of their talent and enthusiasm on their recordings, they probably could have gone much further in this competition. It was fun to hear them play all their Nur Ein songs and now I have a Student Band t-shirt.

Do they actually call themselves "Student Band"?frankie big face wrote:Not to steer the discussion away from sex with trucks, but in other Nur Ein news, I played an opening set for Student Band last night in a crowded basement and it was pretty fun. That's actually a pretty cool name. Especially if they become huge and are still using it when they do their re-form tours when they're in their 50s.
