"Stranded"? Really?
Oy vey.
CRay, you know what I'm talking about (my punk band *also* does a cover of that Saints song, so double the trouble for me, heh).

Re: Nur Ein! V - Round 1
I am definitely committed to this endeavor -- I should have gone to bed, but I stayed up just to get this title/challenge, and I'm starting to work on it now.
EDIT: Did I say working on it? Wrote the whole song. Recorded a scratch track. I know I'll hate it in the morning. Bluh. At least with the whispering challenge, I didn't wake the kids.
MORE EDIT: I just wrote three more songs. They're all just as bad. Time to go to bed.

There is absolutely no reason for another song to be written with the title "Stranded". This one been around for roughly 34 years and is one of the greatest songs ever written.

Looks like I'll be heading off on a tangent this week

Re: Nur Ein! V - Round 1
Actually isn't the Saints song called "(I'm) Stranded"?
The only song called just "stranded" I can think of is that awful Van Morrison song

Re: Nur Ein! V - Round 1
So I go abroad for a week from Saturday so even if I can get a round 1 in and by act of God get through, it's not looking particularly good on coming back and getting a song done for round 2.
With this in mind, I have just written my most tasteless song ever for 'Stranded' and bear in mind, many of my songs are pretty tasteless. I intend to go out with a bang. Assuming I get the f**ker recorded by Friday evening, of course.

I don't think I've ever heard any of those "Stranded" songs. I was thinking of the Stevie Ray Vaughan song.

Re: Nur Ein! V - Round 1
Thank God I have none of those songs in my personal mental library. Nothing kills the songwriting process faster for me than that.
Whispering, huh... *heads over to SampleSwap* Oh I think I can do something with that...
edit...
*sifts through the SampleSwap library*
No.. no.. uh... not really... no... no... damn
*Googles* => http://www.freesound.org *bing!*
Anybody every heard of whispering galleries? There's a whole song right there... not this one, but still.

I never heard of those Stranded songs either but I'll be looking them up once I finish mine. Unfortunately I do have that stranded at the drive in song from Grease stuck in my head now.

Yes - of course - that is totally different.j$ wrote:Actually isn't the Saints song called "(I'm) Stranded"?
I suppose next weeks title will be "Satisfaction" - without the (I Can't Get No) at the beginning.
Are you sure? Won't Icelandic vulcanism leave you "stranded"?j$ wrote: So I go abroad for a week from Saturday
