So, what is everyone having? Beer OK?.

Oh - and I'm only shouting the judges. The rest of you are on your Pat Malone.

I haven't been on Pat Malone since college, and I was just going through a phase, I swear that.....oh, I see what you did there, that's that whole rhyming slang thing.....

Nevermind.

Nooooooo!
Come on Ben! Submit a recording of a broken radio, or you doing dishes, or shouting at the TV remote. It'll be art, you'll do well.

Common knowledge has it that for round zero one could " fart into a microphone." just be sure you could argue that it is a shouting fart and you'll be fine.

must resist temptation to use 'shouting fart' as band name this year...

I would like some clarification!!!

Could you define the following words as they will be interpreted by the judges?
* shouting
* significant
* use
* of
* non-optional
* MP3
* song
* April
* banans
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Well of course. It's a barking spider. That's like shouting.

I hate & love the shouting thing at the same time. Hate it because I don't think it's something I would want to include in a song if it wasn't being forced as a non-optional challenge ... love it because it's forcing me to think of ways to feature it... it's always good to get yourself thinking in new ways... I have a couple of ideas that are real weird, now just have to choose one and go with it!

So how does this work? I think I read there's no eliminations in the first week... or are there some if there are more than 25 submissions?

It's going to feel weird to not be involved, after 5 straight years of participating in Nur Ein in various ways, but odds that we'll enter are looking slim. We haven't got a song written and Erin lost her voice a few days ago and hasn't fully recovered it. I'm excited to hear new songs from some lurkers/creepers though at least.
