I love that song! I often find myself whistling the melody.
Bringin' the stink since 2006.

I almost sort of have a bit of a starting chord progression. And no idea about melody or lyric (or even what the song should be about.) Really, my window of opportunity is vanishing quickly. If I do manage to get a song done, I doubt it will be ranked in the top 20.

About 100 minutes to deadline. How's everyone doing?

I'm hanging in the IRC room if anyone wants to chat. :-)

Ugh. Well, writer's block plus illness almost did me in on this one but I did manage to get something finished.... so now I'll probably just lose the old fashioned way.

Heh -- damn good thing I'm judging and not competing. All weekend long I'd been thinking the deadline was Monday night, rather than tonight. Oops.

I hope you guys like the next step in the Tubba Gutz experiment (persona?). I tried to make something a little more palatable, and I like the way it turned out. I'm terrified about the vocals because I did rap and left the track with no digital effects, so we'll see how that plays out for me. I'm pretty excited for this round, and hate to see people go so soon!

YKFD couldn't make it happen this week.
Y'all would have gotten a traditional celtic-style waltz tune with mandolin and melodica, but [insert lengthy lame excuses here] and no dice.

my song is in at 12:01:34.
I think I have an adrenaline addiction. The levels might be silly and it's raw but pretty and personal. I went back in time for this one and wrote like I used to write long ago (like I wrote a song :) )

The deadline is 12:01. The typical assumption in every workplace environment, educational institution, and song competition that I've ever been in states that as long as the clock still reads the exact time of the deadline when the work is turned in (i.e. before 12:01 is over), it's not late.
