For the purposes of judging, is antimony metallic enough to be considered a metal? Or are metalloids specifically excluded?

Optional challenge: only use xylophone

metal xylophone that is
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

That would be a marimba. By definition, a xylophone is made of wood.

Wow, this seems like a new level in terms of the challenges being prescriptive. I think y'all should just give up this round though, here's why:

So is a marimba isn't it?

Don't you mean glockenspiel?

Are you thinking of a vibraphone?

That's part of the challenge. It's up to the judges to decide whether you interpret it correctly.

Ironically, you partly inspired the choice of title. Don't shoot the messengers.

Yeah but who says Down to Under? The 'to' makes it sound retarded.

Challenge is wicked. This is going to be awesome.

Who says it? Everyone who is left in the competition some time in the next few days.

Who still says "retarded"? Are you 12?

I couldn't agree more. ....well, I could, but it wouldn't make it any more relevant.
The judging is very well rounded and seems to be judging unbiased. I love that the songs are being judged as overall songs incorporating the challenge and not judged by who uses the most challenge. Nothing worse than a steaming pile of crap getting the highest ranking because they whores the challenge to the max. It makes me happy to see Nur Ein returning to it's awesome original concept.

I too found the title awkward but I liked it for that reason, I can't wait to see what kind of metal you guys come up with...

I still use the word radical whenever I can. My opinions should clearly be taken very seriously. And I'm sure my opinion will change after hearing 12 kick-ass metal songs with that title. Everyone left in the competition is amazing and I can't wait to hear what they come up with.

I'm kinda flummoxed here.
Not with the title or challenge, but statistically I'm fucked this round.
I desperately need to find some way of turning around this inexorable doom.

Now where did I put that box of riffs?

There is a simple mantra for this round:

WWIMD?
