Sending something in. Ignored the optional challenge, just kinda proud of myself for pulling together a song for the first time in two+ years.

Like old times. Must be something in the air, me and Arthur back from the dead on the same fight

Anyway, that does it. None of the rest of us has a chance.

Also, the optional challenge is totally bogus anyway. More about that next week.

well, I was working on an idea earlier today but now we're in the midst of a surprise ER visit so I'm guessing I'm not going to make it in for this fight after all. Nothing super distressing yet, but my husband is having leg pain that might be a blood clot so they told us to come in right away just in case...

No medical emergencies here but I wound up spending my whole weekend doing yardwork so I've got an instrumental, a bassline, and a lyric sheet...but nothing recorded. Maybe I can squeeze it in today.

I'm in, but if there were any places where two chords were played at the same time, it was a mistake.

I'm in. I worked in the optional challenge on my outro and it ended up being my favorite part of the song.

I think the verse vocal is super cool partially because of it. Today it's back to 90% or so. Go figure.

In! Late! Was working on Toshiro's computer then came back to mine to export. Turns out he's got more sounds on his computer than I do. I mean, I was already late, but that made me extra late.

OK, we get it! And yet, for some reason, everyone knows exactly what "two chords at the same time" means. Probably a conceptual thing; where's a deconstructionist when you need one? Good topic for a Monkey Business thread, maybe.

Just as everyone knows what "eat two soups out of the same bowl at the same time" means.

But yeah, I know, I get it too. I guess I don't think of chords that way. Now that I think on it, I suppose two very different instruments playing two extremely unrelated chords at the same time could read as two different chords rather than a single complicated chord. In fact, I had that very thought after I posted that thing a couple days ago that you just quoted. And at the time I thought about removing the post, and then I thought "Nah, more fun to shake things up".

I'm very curious about this though, whether anyone who takes the optional challenge on will actually play something that sounds like two different chords at the same time, as opposed to sounding like just a single complicated chord.
