I wrote a blues song, and was planning an old time delta blues type arrangement to it, complete with fake vinyl pops and clicks and and an introductory monologue from the student DJ who was supposed to be playing the records for the "blues till dawn" specialty show on college radio station WTFU at 2:00am.

Then I listened to the "Ignorance is Bliss" fight, and heard Chin Music's take on a similar idea, and realized there was no way I could follow that just one week later.

So I cranked up the distortion pedal and did my usual wanking. Enjoy.

Hmm, partner is not going to make it either. If anyone wants to sing a song for me, drop me a PM otherwise I'll try to do it later in the weekend (not for SF obviously).

PS it's electronic and somewhat fast and will have vocoder.

I sent in some stink, and again did not receive a confirmation. I'm not complaining, just pointing out how quickly we get spoiled. Or accustomed, if you prefer.

I wrote a rather good song but stupidly thought the title was 'Lose Control'. So that won't be entered.

Although given Ken's flagrant disregard for the 'song written for a title' aspect of the comp, perhaps I should've done :)

He did make a song written for the title by reinterpretting existing lyrics into a new song. This has been done many times during Songfight. A notable example would be Urine Luck's "Dog Without Warning" which reinterpreted lyrics by the 2 Live Crew. :P

I didn't make it in time. I couldn't find the right music and then when I did, I couldn't think up enough lyrics to match it. Oh well.

Next fight, I'll make it up to you guys. :D
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

Sure, write a song called "What's Wrong With People?"

It's due 12:01 AM Monday, 9/18. Post it on a thread in Sidefights.

im totally missing out on the songfightness as how rone is. i never have time to write a song for songfight anymore. i need a full day to do absolutely nothing. i need to work on being a lot less useful to people.

hey rone? do you have a webpage with some of your other music projects? pictures of you recording music?? music videos? please make a music video if possible.
