First song idea:

"Winning is Everything" by The Misfits (the villain band from "Jem and Holograms") performed as if covered by.. The Misfits (the other ones; the famous ones)

If I can get the great Pete Townshend song out of my mind I might be able to write something for this fight!

Love, love will keep us together
Think of me babe whenever
Some sweet talking girl comes along singing her song
Don't mess around,
You gotta be strong
Just Stop [stop], 'cause I really love You
Stop [stop], I'll be thinking of you
Look in my heart and let love keep us together

You, You belong to me now
Ain't gonna set you free now
When those girls start hanging around talking me down
Hear with your heart and you won't hear a sound
Just Stop [stop], 'cause I really love you
Stop [stop], I'll be thinking of you
Look in my heart and let love keep us together, what ever.

Young and beautiful
Someday your looks will be gone
When the others turn you off
Who'll be turning you on

I will, I will, I will, I will
Be there to share forever
Love will keep us together
Said it before and I'll say it again while others pretend
I'll need you now and I'll need you then
Stop 'cause I really love Ya
Stop I'll be thinking of Ya
Look in my heart and let love keep us together

Did that help?

God, that's brutal. I will be stuck with that for the rest of the day.

Also: got a musical idea, and if I can match it up with some pretty words, then I'm in.

He was captain of her heart, of course.

Btw, I'm in and my song sounds nothing like either set of Misfits.

Try as I might, mine doesn't sound like the Captain, nor the Tennille. But it sounds...yes, it sounds.

Currently cooking a bunch of new-to-me Mexican dishes (Habanero cream cheese dip, breaded fresh banana peppers stuffed with rice/cheese, pineapple/avocado salsa, and some chicken boobies marinated in rotel/tequila/lime). Soooo, still not worked further on the ole tune, but definitely going to have a feast tonight. ;)

OK, so I misread the title as "Nothing Isn't Everything", so that's what I wrote my chorus around. Luckily I found a way to make the title make sense though.

A friend came round and helped me write the chords for this one, so they're a little different as we were trying to impress each other with our musical genius -- there are two rhythm guitar parts playing against each other with sometimes completely different chords. Sadly we ran out of time to get him to track any parts of his own, except for some background vocals I forced him to do.

Honestly, I'm trying to sing Nothing is Everything with a bat flying around my head. I continue on, but I'm so scared, it makes me laugh while singing. Opened a window and I think it's gone for now. Wew!
Thanks for listening.

My streak is over. I procrastinated just long enough to reach the 11th hour and now I just don't feel like doing it. *stretches* I'll just have to start another streak with the next title. :D
