I like everything they've done, but Fashion Nugget is still my favorite.

Haha, absolutely Cake is fantastic. The first album of theirs I bought was Fashion Nugget, so I've already taken a pretty decent dose of Cake. Then they came to Calgary, and I wasn't notified! :x My buddy went to the concert though, and apparently they gave out an apple tree halfway through the concert. Those guys are kickass.

ps - BLT - I've been listening to a lot of rap, and as much as I hate to admit it, I definitely have been enjoying Kanye too. I find it's been helping me with lyric writing a lot.

There's nothing wrong with enjoying Kanye's rap.

It's 808s and Heartbreak that's the problem.

Haha I forgot that album existed too. And after listening back to it... I'm not sure if that wasn't wise on my part.

Comfort Eagle is kind of forgettable outside Short Skirt, Long Jacket, I thought, and that always sounds like they should say neck instead of jacket. As for favorite Cake album, I was going to say Prolonging the Magic but looking over the track listings from Motorcade of Generosity and Fashion Nugget and remembering the songs, I'm not sure how anyone could pick a favorite Cake album.

Since it's night, something quiet: "Your Spain" by the White Birch. I looked up the lyrics. I always heard it as:

I woke up to the majesty
of your Spain
Some things will stand
Some things will fall
mourning
and I'll be your king... prawn.

??

The last line appears to be "And I’ll be okay, and proud". That's sensitive mumbling for ya.

He is the other guitarist in Carpetburn (apart from myself) and he has only just embarked upon the joys of home recording with delightful results.

I've finally been giving quality time to Lou Reed - Berlin - Live at St. Ann's Warehouse, and holly crap this is an awesome production. I was at the concert, which was one of the best I've been to, and even better being a short walk from home. But really, this album is amazing! Buy it. Steal it. Inject it. Live it.

It turns out that my work computer has 147 songs that Johnny Cashpoint was involved in (and I wasn't). So I'm listening to all of them in alphabetical order :)
Currently: "Brown River Boy" by The Six Six Sixties.

I never really listened to Flo Rida until I heard this song. I'm going to have to buy this album when it comes out in April.
