The gap got me just now. It got me a few other times over the years. But mostly I'm lazy and uninspired.

How could the gap have gotten you just now? A new title was posted 32 hours ago...

I don't know what happened. Either my browser malfunctioned or my brain did. But anyway, it's time to write a song!

I was listening to a stream of random songs from the archive and Jim of Seattle's "Get A Life" came up.

http://sfjukebox.org/songs/get_a_life/J ... %20Seattle

It references this thread! I wonder if that's the only time anybody's done that...? I came here to read the discussion, and to say that there shouldn't really be a gap anymore these days. When I update the site, I do three things all at once: 1) post the results, 2) post the next title, and 3) post the new songs. If you find yourself with a bit of time to write a song but the deadline has passed for a title, if the songs for that title aren't up yet you can be optimistic and go for it and strike while the iron's hot. Your song _probably_ will make it, though I can't make any guarantees. ;)

Holy cow, that was epic, thanks for posting! I especially love his rousing GET A LIFE chorus at around the 11:35 mark. Worth the time.

Yeah, the conclusion is an epic amazing payout!! I loved his different voices and styles for everybody, particularly JB, Spud, and Caravan Ray.

Haha, nice. I didn't have the patience to listen to the whole thing, but it was impressive none-the-less.

Bugger. Christmas holidays. Finally set up my studio again after moving house. Looks like I been "gapped".

Just write an "Our Forfeited Friends" entry and submit it late. I probably won't have time to update the site for a day or two still at this point.
