Hello from Justin (Sal) of Oursongs

Post by Justin »

Just wanted to drop in and say hi. I've been an off and on lurker of songfight, since near its beginnings. I'm happy to see it still going strong. To still see the interest after all these years is cool.

I still have some "old school" Brick Pig (Bad Dreams is one of my favorites), Raised by Wolves, and ADD in heavy rotations in my mp3 player. Speaking of these guys, are they still around?

I've cranked up the oursongs.org site again, this time with focus and time on my hands to dedicate to it. I have some pretty good ideas for directions right now, but could use some input. I've kept the place pretty minimal for right now, while slowly adding stuff on to it. Come check it out if you are interested in music community.

Niveous, Generic, Fishboy, HeuristicsInc., Johnny Cashpoint, Dan I miss you guys, even our debates about invisible tank vs. invisible dragon.

I hope to contribute here, although a song in a week tends to not be my pace, or even finishing a song for that matter. :D

And just when everyone thought you'd gone the way of... well, me, I guess...

Heh. I do fondly recall the days of Oursongs. And Dirtcheap Music, too. Funny how things happen. Or at least, fail to do so.

Welcome back, Justin. Plan to stick around for a little while this time? :P

Hey, good to see you guys, and that you guys have been sticking to soundfight.

The oursongs site is still in a bit of flux. I have a lot of ideas for it, but open to suggestions. It will be mostly focused around musicians and creativity. I'm running a different system now that gives me a lot of flexibility. It will allow me to do things that I've wanted to do, but couldn't with phpbb.

Niveous, I love the avatar, O.T. was the best game back in the day when floppy disks were actually floppy.
