Oh yeah, I've got the recording of Ziplee and that one sounds good also (on my laptop speakers, anyway...).

I'm tired. Why did I wake up this early...

Day two is about to start. Jim Tyrrell is here, Niveous, Glennny and Friends, Charcoal.

And now Glenny and friends starting, Lee singing. Graet voice, strong guitar and bass. THese guys rock. Oh, this is just a sound check.

Nice crowd gathering. Girls looking for seats...nice :)

Here's Charcoal starting his engines. Two originals and an Octothorpe. That's two beers from Spud so far. Jim is joining with egg shakers.

Here come Glennny's friends. Semalina Pilchard opens the set, and now we're in 5/4 with Brownie Points, so life is good. Niveous joins for Submarines.

Jim's up next. Naked on the Meach and then friends from NH join himfor the full monte.

Niveous, Jim and roymond sparred off in a live fight with "Cute Boots". And for some reason I came out on top with my XO laptop rendition. I am blushing.

Thanks to Niv for putting this together, and everyone for coming to Brooklyn. This was great.

Okay. I went on first last night at around 9pm.

1. Rattle (HInc)
2. Soft Orange Glow (HInc)
3. Fight the Sea (HInc)
4. Accelerator (HInc covers TVIYH covering HInc)
5. Lemurs (DB&tI)
6. Chaos vs. Order (DB&tI)
(I meant to play "Science" here but I forgot. However my set was the right length without it)
7. Control Yourself (HInc)
8. Metal Klepto (HInc covers Octothorpe + Glenn Case)

I had help from roymond (bass + background vox + acoustic guitar), Niveous (acoustic guitar), M (background vox), and Jim (piano). You are all fantastic people.

Congrats on the live fight win, roymond. Sorry I couldn't stay for tonight's show. It was nice seeing M's family again, so that was good. Also, I am back home now. Looking forward to hearing the sets from tonight.

Question: when people are posting the live sets, do you normally just encode them into mp3, or do postproduction on them? Which ones? I was considering running them through Ozone unless that is verboten.

M got some photos from the show. I will post them on the flickr when I can. GBM is a very interesting place. Interesting good, definitely.

There are a lot of me in them, since she's my wife, heh. Also, thanks to roy's sister Amy for taking some of these, i.e. the ones with M in them ;)

Just got back to the house. Loooong ride, but a surprisingly easy one. Driving to Brooklyn and back really wasn't all that bad.

I've got a camera full of very dark video, and I'll see if any of it is any good.

My set:

1) Hey Ruth
2) Naked On The Meach
3) Red Zero
4) Between The Rain
5) House Of Hodgman
6) I Don't Want To Be Your Friend
7) I Know My Rights

Niveous wrote a creepy cool song for the live fight. Roymond rocked the laptop and deserved the win. You'll hear my faux-Irish cutebooting soon enough.

Gotta go to a band practice. Ugh. But I'll update once I've had a chance to look at the video.

Well, The audio of the 1st night came out really well. My audio for the 2nd night is garbage. I'm pretty sure I plugged the mic into the headphone jack and therefore the regular keyboard HP mic recorded everything in a very distorted fashion.

AS for videos the 1st night I indeed have some H-Inc. The 2nd night I have some Charcoal and some Jim Tyrell. I recorded the Glennny set on a sperate tape that for some reason won't play for me. I'll try it on another camera, but the chances are slim.

So I did my work in Allentown, I'm waiting for my flight home to the Bay here in Las Vegas.

I had a blast, every song fighter I've met on both coasts are super nice!

more later ......

I got the recordings from Niv yesterday. Just checking them out to see if there's any sort of Ozoning that I should do... but the audio is really pretty darn clean. I will also submit the live fight tracks, yes?

Yes, I will send PMs with links to each of you three, I think.
I gave a listen to a couple of the sets here at work and they at least need some volume maximization, some light Ozoning... I had the livefight on my computer speakers and headphones and had the volume knob pegged all the way up just to hear it.
