new song on soundclick

<a href="http://www.soundclick.com/bands/5/poorj ... >Denial</a> if you care to hear it... tell me what ya think... (pretty long... warning)... (think the vox should be re-done for the first part... and maybe the whole song...) haha

it's all keyboard/piano... (lot of mixing the further it gets in the song... not the best mixer...) but do listen if you get the time O_o

again repeat... please listen :::begs:::whines::: :-*

Song Fight stats

Post by Tony Asbestos »

If I had space on the web, I would post it there. But I don't.

I started to track how I was doing from week to week on SF, then that evolved into a spreadsheet. From there, I started to keep track of the winners every week. Now I have a sheet that can be tweaked to show winners by date, name, etc. It's not complete, but may be of interest. PM me and I will email it to the first few folks who reply- maybe if they like it they can post it on the web- possibly filling in the blanks (such as most of the winning votes, etc.)

New Baby

Post by Mostess »

(For the curious, and to test my new new account...) A monkey affair, to be sure:

Hostess Mostess has a new baby!

Sarah Nikoline Stansfield weighed in at 8lbs on Monday evening. Mom and baby are healthy and happy.

HM SongFighting will likely be sporadic until about 2022.

HM: Great news! I'm expecting our first baby in January, and suspect as well that SF'ing will be tough to squeeze in for a decade or two as well...

But we've GOT to try... :)

Congratulations!

Funnily enough - I discovered Songfight as a result of our baby's arrival. Our first, little Caravan Harriet was born born back in June - and it was while I was sitting around at home waiting for her and Mum to come home from hospital I stumbled upon this site.

Up till then, I was playing semi-regularly at songwriters night at the local pub - so now, Daddy's not allowed out to play all night at the pub anymore, Songfight is a great alternative outlet for me (also, the songwriters nights have now stopped happening - so songfights all I've got for now).

Anyway, new baby shouldn't mean no songfight. I'm very lucky to have a baby who stops crying at the sound of a guitar. So, when Mother is tired and baby is cranky - I prompt my wife to go to bed and have a sleep - and I lock Harri in the recording room with me and get to work.

Keen ears may pick up background baby sounds on many of my songs - in particular, my Jimmy Hat even has a screaming baby solo.

So, Congrats Hostess Mostess
and good luck PinV for January

See, so you can still do Redcar ...... sniff ....... you can still do it...... long after "Rachel" gets out of the womb...... just might be Redcar with a baby in it. If Caravan Ray can do it and rock so hard, so can you Chico.
