WiiWare

Post by Reist »

WiiWare launch titles are up, and I got 2. Lostwinds and Defend Your Castle. They're both awesome, in very different ways. I recommend Defend Your Castle if you've got some time on your hands, and if you've got someone else to play with.

I've played it a bit ... it seems to be pretty good. I'd call it a platform game, but the levels don't seem to be really defined. So far it's just been a big area, and you walk/fly through it in 2D. It controls pretty good though, and the use of wind is really cool.

I'd forgotten WiiWare was coming. I haven't even turned on my Wii since getting annoyed at Smash Bros.

be careful, i heard it calls little 7 year old girls FAT! and they cry and stuff... (actually it's kinda funked up that it would think a normal 7 year old is obese...)

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised Nintendo wasn't more careful about the American localization. What works well for Brain Age (which is targeted squarely at adults) isn't necessarily so good for the whole family.

I think I might download LostWinds & Toki Tori this weekend, I ordered Okami this past week from BestBuy for $26.01 after a $5 reward coupon... looking forward to trying that out.
