Live from Daryl's house

Post by Billy's Little Trip »

I just heard about this on my morning entertainment news. Daryl Hall has a live Internet show that he does from his home. He invites musicians to come play as well as unknown musicians that he finds on u2b, etc. I signed up to be notified of new episodes. It's like pulling up a chair in Daryl's studio and watching live jams, awesome!

Man, that's cool. I watched a few clips, and it's definitely fun to watch.

This is pretty cool.

Some songfighter needs to do a show like this.

There was that songfight documentary idea floating around years ago of a week's fight spliced together from all participants...

You don't have to go that far. It's a simple formula. Do it on weekends. Every month, you have a Songfighter come to your house and jam. Video the event. Put it on YouTube. Everybody wins.

I was thinking of something just like that yesterday!

Maybe something like ... each SFer videos their studio and them in studio recording a song. They're all submitted to a common page, and then we have all kinds of fun, informative vids to watch. Does anyone else think that it's a cool idea? Or is it just me?

I just like watching Live from Daryl's house.

But this does remind me of one of my favorite SFer in studio tour videos by Josh of Rat Poison. I'll see if I can find it, it's a classic.

edit: Here it be. Note the background music, lol.
