ugghh, I'm going to try this again this year. Last year I only got 2 songs written and one recorded. My process seems to be come up with lyrics for a chorus and then get eternally bogged down trying to come up with a clever chord progression.

My stradegy this year is rip off a bunch of Beatles progressions and then in the last week crap out some G&G 12bar blues stuff. Maybe I'll get 3 songs done this year

Anyone else have a stradegy to get 'er done?

Got four written so far, music and lyrics. No recording yet. I'm going to try to have at least seven completely written by the time I finally sit down to record (my first block of time long enough to get any real work done is gonig to be the evening of Thursday the 5th), so that I can just sit down with a few hours to spare and just crank out demos. Will this be the year for me?

Two completed, pieces of four in the workings. Plan on doing my first bout of demos tonight-tomorrow. I'm really liking what I'm coming up with.

Ok, my first song demo is up - I think I'll have to rerecord because I may have muffed a lyric. I also made a video of me recording it, but I can't figure out how to post a video. It's late though, so I'll have to figure it out tomorrow - the song is also posted at RPM.

Man, I'm on a roll. I just wrote about 5 songs in the last hour, and I've already got about 4+ written. All they need is some polish ... wow, FAWM's going a lot better for me this year.

But believe me, it's not all carefully polished pop rock songs, as is my usual fare. Watch out for some weird stuff, coming soon! :)

Three demos in, and lyrics for five more.

And it's only an hour into the 6th... I'm liking this pace. :)

Haha! I think I did that the first time I ever typed in the site, with the girl who was showing it to me over my shoulder saying, "No, dot-org! DOT-ORG!" But it was too late, I'd already hit return.

And I was all like, hey now...

Slats and Embers of Autumn are over there. Weakest Suit started a thread on the FAWM boards for the FAWMers.

I just put up three more demos, making me officially ahead in both writing and recording for the first time this month.

That means I've written nine, recorded demos for six of those nine, and for the record, I've got four more half-finished ideas, which will put me at 13 when I'm done with those tracks.

I've also figured out m album's title (14 Stories). Never been good with art, though, so I don't know what I'm going to do about that. But this is palpably close.
