So....
This is kind of a weird one.
Anyone care to share ideas? It makes me think of Sesame Street.

Re: Pre-Game Chatter
Man I have spent all day (since the title went up) thinking of something this could mean.
So far my worst idea was an ode to my hometown University of Oregon (green+yellow) football team (11 players) so that's probably what I'll do.
I might also just not really want to write a song about college football players (RECRUITING VIOLATION?)

Bomb threat. Wrote the lyrics in about 10 minutes at 5 in the morning... ouch. Might completely overhaul them but that's a new record for me.
7/11 is hilarious, that didn't come to mind at all!

By the way, I thought about this too. But it started to sound like a counting song. I don't like counting songs.Henrietta wrote:11 makes me think of Spinal Tap. But then, green 11 makes me think of

I'm definitely in. I can't believe it's been 5 years since Red Zero, which was kind of our prelude to all the crimezy action of the Hell Yeahs, um, "canon" songs. I dunno if I'll force a thematic tie-in, but.. Color + number is a great song title formula if you ask me.

Re: Pre-Game Chatter
'ello.
So, just want to check something. The lyrics have to be inspired by "green 11", but don't necessarily have to include the two words in that order as the main point of the song right? I mean, green and 11 are going to be in it, just not sure about "green 11" except as the title.
Here's what I'm thinking so far-
I drank 11 shots of whiskey and I turned green!
I turned green!
I drank 11 shots of whiskey and I turned green!
I turned green!
11 shots of whiskey, you know what means?
I turned green!
Not green like frogs, or grass
more like something that went wrong
in the baby's pants
11 shots of whiskey and I turned green!
Heh... there'll be more, that's just what popped into my head a bit ago to start...

Re: Pre-Game Chatter
The song has to be inspired by the title. The title does not have to be in the song. In fact, some would say that's the easy way out.
btw: So far, your song reminds me of JB's "All Tan".

Re: Pre-Game Chatter
Thanks for the info
I'm also thinking bagpipes, it's got to have bagpipes! But for some reason I also want heavy percussion. A drunken industrial bagpipe song? 8) We'll see what happens.
What's the band title on the song you're thinking of Spud? I found "All Tan" but not sure which one you mean. Also, you must have a pretty sharp memory, the date on that fight's in August of '06.

Re: Pre-Game Chatter
That would be the John Benjamin Band. JB - get it? Sometimes known as JBB, but I digress.
here it is: http://www.songfight.org/music/all_tan/ ... and_at.mp3
I may be old, but my memory is a sharp as a... uh... um... what do you call those sharp pointy things that you use to hold stuff onto the wall?
btw. bagpipes are completely illegal in this competition.
