That looks good. At first I was thinking I'd like to see a raw rocker on the panel, like, Luke or someone from Booty, but you and Rabz like the raw stuff, and Sam likes the blazing guitars, Spoon has a pretty eclectic ear, Erin has class, and Puce loves Canadian Pop music, so this bunch is very well rounded. :P

I might like to participate this year. Maybe with an alter ego like Ray/Tex...

I'll go ahead and try for round zero and see what happens. School will be out by then, so I'll have pretty much nothing else to do for that couple of months... Well, you know, except for that wedding thing.

Can someone make a "worst of" list so the five of us (or however many) who didn't make this list can see our names somewhere ;-)

Sister Cocaine was actually one of my favorite songs that I've done since starting SF! and I still love the lyrics to "Let Me In" which I've thought about re-arranging and re-recording. Also, I was so inspired during that time that I even submitted a regular weekly entry to "Evil April" which turned out to be another favorite of mine.

I just asked Frisbee if he wanted to collab and found out that he, Glennny and Melvin are forming some kind of super group.

Greeeeat, I feel really good about my chances this year now

A Frisbee, Melvin, Glennny supergroup....OMG.

Dude, you are way late with the news. It's called The Worldly Self Assurance. Them and Furrypdero. They formed during last year's Nur Ein, have entered 4 fights and won one.

Yes, I did know all that. I just didn't know they were going to do it for Nur Ein this year.

Caravan Ray wrote:I reckon, if a Best of Nur Ein II album should ever be released, the track listing should probably look like this:

1. Let Me In - Puce

2. Sister Cocaine - Paco del Stinko

3. Brownie Points - Frankie Big Face

4. No One Else - Tex Beaumont & The Dirty Hearts

5. Sister Cocaine - Ross Durand

6. Let Me In - Abominominominous

7. The Thing Most Easily Forgotten - The Bovine Recyclery

8. Sister Cocaine - Bryan Kandel

9. Brownie Points - Wreckdom

10. Let Me In - Balance Lost/Balanced Regained

11. Brownie Points - Thank Glenny for the Frisbee

12. No One Else - Mersian

12. The Thing Most Easily Forgotten - Abominominominous

13. State of Emergency - Ross Durand

14. No One Else - Billys Little Trip

15. Let Me In - semicolonclosedparenthesis

- and that would be a pretty good record.

For mine, best song of Nur Ein II is a toss up between Ross Durand's State of Emergency and Paco de Stinko's Sister Cocaine.
Ahhhh Nur Ein nostagia......

Download all these songs and bung 'em on a CD. It is awesome.

Most of the links still work. Except for mine.
