I LOVED IT. I needed it. I got an hour and a half away from life and laughed my ass off.

VERY VIOLENT, but hilarious. Check it out if you're into this kind of thing.

Yes, it was quite good. The Bill Murray "cameo" was worth the price of admission.

The Bill Murray part is the only part that made me *facepalm*. I mean, seriously; the world is overrun by zombies who want to kill and eat you. You're not a zombie, so naturally you have a "shoot first, ask questions later" attitude. Under what conditions would it seem like a good idea to dress up like a zombie and try to scare someone (who's probably armed) as a joke? Were we supposed to feel sorry for Bill? I actually said "Serves you right, you 'tard" when it happened.

Other than that, yeah, great flick.

That's what made the inevitable conclusion so hilarious.

Zombies don't run. Infectedland would be a better title.

I'm not a big fan of running zombies either.

Haven't seen Zombieland. Heard it was good. I dunno, I'm kind of worn out on the whole zombie craze. Ready for the next big thing.

I was sick of the zombie craze when the movie was in theaters, which is why I waited a while to see it. I only even saw it because a friend got it on Netflix and was like "Hey we should watch this" and I was like "okay." And it was worth it.

I have ridiculously mixed feelings about it, mostly because I think it was a movie made 90% for the crazy zombie and zombie-movie fan within me and 10% for exactly the people I am not. It was fun, it was self-aware, I like that it exists, but it managed to not quite commit to being either a funny zombie movie or a maudlin zomromcom or a hero flick or or or. That kind of weird patchiness in what otherwise could have been essentially The Great Postmodern Zombie Flick put me in a weirdly unsatisfied place, I guess.

My understanding is that it was originally pitched as a TV series, and frankly that's the thing I want to have seen. The weird too-much-too-fast schtick of the character development and character quirks and arc of the relationship and the Rules thing would all have felt a lot more workable coming out an episode at a time over the stretch of a season. I'd have been cheering my guts out when the twinkie got got during a key scene in the season finale or whatever, instead of just sort of shrugging amiably when it inevitably happened 80 minutes after we were pretty much promised it happened.

I feel silly for having such strong feelings about this.

While I haven't seen anything on it yet except for a poster advert... AMC is making "The Walking Dead", which is a comic book series about zombies and survivors, into a TV series this year I believe. So... stay tuned. I'm on book 4 I think of the Hardcovers (which I think collect 2 of the softcover graphic novels in 1?) and so far I enjoy it.

I'll see your poster and raise you a trailer. Haven't read any of it yet but it's on my list, yeah.
