Deetak. It totally sounds like music in movies from the 80s. Like the music that comes on in the background when the neighborhood teens are getting down to business and running around town taping up and passing out fliers for a neighborhood bake sale to raise money to keep the city from turning their park into a parking lot.

I finished an EP that's been in the works for a few months.

Image
Here it is.

I've been in a serious creative rut lately, but a few days ago I got the spark again and finished this one. It's under the Die Fledermaus name, so it's pretty shoegazey in the vocal department, and all the drums are electronic. If you guys dig it, let me know.

Nathan Fillion asked twitter for a theme song and I enjoy stupid stunts, so, here is my 1.25 minute Nathan Fillion song. It's called Nathan Fillion.

Nathan Fillion.

My new band, Matron, have recorded some demos. Punk, post-punk.
Engineered by Rory Attwell who used to drum in the Test-icicles (which will probably only mean something to Niveous and me.)

You can hear a STREAM of all four songs here

You can hear them on that newfangled MYSPACE thingy

I sing/shout and play guitar and a bit of bass. Rawk, or somesuch.

Thanks!

Yeah, we're gigging. Fifth this gig in London this friday then one at the beginning of December in Brighton, for any uk SFers who might be interested.

Yes, sorry about the lack of sweary warning. It's only one song, though :) No keyboard, that's probably just our wizard lead guitarist...

Another quickie, recorded last night in a couple of hours, mixed hurriedly this morning before going to work. Still a work in process.

Haven't gotten around to updating my webpage yet, but in addition to finishing my cover of Jan's "Half a Million Nerds" yesterday, I also finally finished the drum track on an older song, making it album-ready at last.

Finished a new electronic song, similar style to the one I posted here last time. Put a video together for it using an old film from Ford about their experimental cars.

Hey guys. Here's what I've been doing with Hoglen. Both songs are just originals (not SF titles). I play the sloppy lead guitar on both tracks as well as sing both tracks. Hoglen is doing harmonies and acoustic guitars. I think another friend (the one who helped us record these!) did the drums and bass for these two tracks. I would like to redo some of my lead work, but otherwise, I like and hope you do too.

We recorded three songs altogether. Still waiting for the final mix of "Stranded" which I think IS a SongFight song.

I can't hear it now, but is that a Heroes reference or some other Haitian?

Sounds good, Phil. Your vocals are much more in key than they have been in the past. It's nice to be able to comfortably listen to your good writing. I've always known it's there, but now it can be enjoyed by the general public because of the production value. ;)
