Sugar plums always sound delicious, but I bet if when I finally eat one, I'll have the same disappointment I had when I finally had Turkish delight after seeing it on Narnia.

.....I still haven't had nipples of Venus yet after seeing them on Amadeus. But I'm sure they will not disappoint, because if you remember the line from Salieri (sp) "They’re Roman chestnuts in brandied sugar. Try one. Go on, try one!" Then they are dipped in chocolate. That sounds wonderful. :)

once again, I have come to do the Net Walk of Shame. For Count Drunkula walked last night among you, using my account, slurking through Austin, feasting upon the plums of the living and drinking the Honey'd Wine-like nectar of Party time. Or whatever. Ack.

i am not drunk now (its 11am so i suppose not unheard of) but i was the other night, and my girlfriend and i went to play pool at a local watering hole. when we arrived the first thing we noticed was the supreme horror that was the music selection. this bar had one of those touch screen, internet jukebox things that will find you any song you can dream of for a dollar. i asked the bartender about why there was horrible techno-pop playing in what can be considered a pretty punk rock bar, and he informed me that there was a gentleman who had been shoving money in the thing and making ears bleed all night. this could not stand. i proceeded to wait untill he left his post by the jukebox to use the bathroom, i stealthily snuck over, pumped in my $2, and started picking.

was first pick.... not a feel good, dance to, social song... this had an immediate effect on the poor gentleman.

was second... only i picked the album version with 9 mins of what i affectionately call "mars volta noise" proceeding it. needless to say, after the screaming, and about 3 mins of wishy-washy sounds and distortion/feedback the poor guy had enough and left.

so if you ever want to end the tyrrany of an over zealous jukeboxer... almost any Dillinger Escape Plan followed by the longest Mars Volta song you can find will do the trick.

I would like to point out before we Begin that it is sometimes permissible to use questionable grammar (read: wrong.) on purpose in order to avoid silly noises or turns of phrase in lyrics. Sometimes, it's an artistic choice. I stand by my decision to be more lenient with my word-flow when song writing, even though I have at times been a grammar goblin.
Spelling however, is anyone's otter. I'm not touching that one!

Yes. You can accuse me of having my been at the nog. I shall admit to nada.!

I like my beats fast and my bass down low.

Also, Christmas is the most depressing time of the year. Surely if there were a God, he would have thought out the whole consequence of this Jesus thing a little better.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

No it's not funny at all today. On top of that the towing company damaged my scooter, police lost my keys and a fifty dollar electricans pocket knife. At the party they offered me the couch, wish i would have.

Had a good show last night, just woke up and drinking mimosas (hint: try tangerine juice instead of orange, nice and kicky-sweet) and I'm cruising the forums like a guy in a trench coat circling the playground at lunchtime. Busy as hell playing out, 1-2-3 shows a week, and trying to get more DIY recordings done with Jacktown Road before one of us gets back into the 9-5, but I'll try at the very least to record some stuff for y'all come Nur Ein time.
