Good stuff, Niv! That is a real cashpoint rarity - so rare that not even I have a copy of it anymore! I'm impressed (though what I'm gonna do when Joy Division want 'transmission' back I don't know :) )

Another, please!

Wow, resurrecting a 7 year old thread. That's a new one for me. :)

I just spent the last 2 weeks in England and a lot of that time was spent hanging with Johnny Cashpoint. There were many great conversations about Songfight and Nur Ein had during those days. One thing that we both agreed on was a need to resurrect Songfight Radio. Songfight has a great archive of music, but it can often be overlooked in the flow of Songfight. Songfight is get a title, make a song, reviews, votes, on to the new title. This community makes some wonderful music and they shouldn't be treated as disposable (expect when we play them live). SF Radio would be a great way to highlight songs.

Would anyone else be interested in a resurrection effort?

Not to volunteer another person's time, but sfjukebox.org might be a good place for this.

Maybe we need more "djs" to produce 30-60 minute programs that can be lined up and played as a playlist or streamed or whatever.
Ken's Super Duper Band 'n Stuff - Berkeley Social Scene - Tiny Robots - Seamus Collective - Semolina Pilchards - Cutie Pies - Explino! - Bravo Bros. - 2 from 14 - and more!

After starting this thread (and idea) 7 years ago, I ended up doing a "best of the week" weekly podcast/radio show over on ccmixter for almost 2 years. 89 straight weeks.

As you can see here, it's an aggregated playlist that could be feedburned into a podcast. I'd record voiceovers each week as the MC. People really seemed to dig it.
