Re: How did you find out about Song Fight?

Post by Center of Mass »

Another new member here (heard about this through the Nerdcore Rising documentary).
Look forward to competing...

I have some existing songs already online, though this is only digital stuff I have done on the computer:
http://sites.google.com/site/centerofmassmusic/
https://sites.google.com/site/ingestmusicnow/
I plan to eventually get the rest of it, the live recordings, online once I find time a good place to host it all. In total I have about 10 hrs of original music (I say about because it is hard to sort out the remixes). About 98% of my music is instrumental only, so I look forward to doing some vocals.

Added Nerdcore Rising and Frontalot options to the poll. Enabled re-voting for a limited time, if you want to go back and pick either of those-- and you're still actually around.

I think it's because before v3 phpbb didn't keep track of who voted for what, so for polls that were around before v3 it doesn't know where to take the vote from

Since its Nur Ein time again, this thread is fitting :)

I found us because of Spintown. I think he knew I'd perish if I didn't have something to constantly occupy my mind so he said "go do this." I started with Nur Ein because it was easier for my neurotic mind to get my head around at the time. I feel like more of a Song Fighter now so I realize that I am just always neurotic as a person so Nur Ein wasn't really any different, I just needed an entry point here because It takes me a while to warm up to things... like a gateway drug but that is a terrible metaphor. It's classier than the other one I had though. :)

Benefit of getting sick is meeting outstanding people in the medical field who often, because their jobs are stressful, have cool hobbies.

Met Andre (Tokyo Expressway) via Craigslist when he was looking for people to play his RPM album live. I actually played at a live fight before I ever looked at the website or participated in a fight.

I was in Seattle at the time, but last year I moved to Boston (back to Boston actually, I grew up here).
