Cover-a-Fight?
Has anybody covered a whole fight before? Maybe that could be a thing...? Could be fun.

Pussy.
I generally don't like the use of this word this way, but in this case it seemed less inappropriate.

Re: Cover-a-Fight?
What do you mean, Lunk? (Not the pussy part, I get that. Heh. I get pussy. snark) One artist covering an entire fight? It'd take some serious time, most likely. Like, me and you and Johnny Pooh all doing the same fight? Or a personal challenge to oneself?

Re: Cover-a-Fight?
I mean, one person covering all the songs in a whole fight. Either as a "thing", like AAD, FAWM, etc. Or maybe as a fight, where everybody in the fight covers a whole fight, maybe the same one, maybe different ones. Not really sure. The idea of covering a whole fight occurred to me while listening to Niv's "best of Song Fight" playlists on the Jukebox, but beyond that I haven't thought it through much.

I like the idea ... but could never pull it off myself. Maybe if it was some sort of group effort where people call 1,2,3 songs from a fight and as a group every song were covered?

Re: Cover-a-Fight?
I would love to do that. Don't know if I could manage a whole fight, but it would sure be fun to try. I think within the time frame of about one month I could cover a fight with about 10-15 entries, as with an average album. That would be cool.
Doing a cover of a fight that contains a Klownhole song would be kinda difficult, though.

Re: Cover-a-Fight?
I like the idea, but I also like what Chips said- maybe if in a fight everyone who participated has to do a cover of someone else's entry? That would make it much more manageable and would include more people.

Re: Cover-a-Fight?
I would think finding a fight that contains none of the participants in it would be appropriate. Perhaps and oldy-old fight, with an albums worth of songs in it? Like a dozen or so.
EDIT: Wait. Does that make sense? I mean none of the fight-covering participants have songs in the fight that's being covered. I can't talk.

Re: Cover-a-Fight?
I dig that idea too Paco - but I guess just out of curiosity of hearing someone cover one of my songs I'd probably prefer it being a more recent fight - but either way if it's some kind of collaborative effort I'd definitely be in.
another idea would be random drawing of songs from a fight ? that could work out better in a strange way by creating unusual combinations. there are some songs that I think I could cover reasonably easily and then there are others that I would be at a total loss for. but might be a good challenge.

Re: Cover-a-Fight?
I see what Paco is getting at, but I don't see why it should matter whether any of the participants were in the fight or not. For any given participant, if that person was in the fight, they can be assigned a song other than their own. If they weren't in the fight, then they can be assigned any song.
Seems to me that the best way to handle this would be for someone to step up and volunteer to be the covermaster (Lunkhead?), determine how many people would be interested in doing this, then find a fight with the same number of entries, then dole out the songs at random.
And yeah, I think it's a cool idea; I'd be interested in playing too.

OK, I can try to orchestrate this, but I'm on vacation and need a week or two.
